The Boardwalk Buddy Walk takes place Saturday, October 11th at 9:00 AM at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand.

Right now, our team has 5 walkers and $325 in donations—but our goal is $2,500. We can get there with your help!

The Boardwalk Buddy Walk will be held on Saturday, October 11th at 9:00 AM at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand. This year marks the 20th anniversary, and we hope you’ll join us in celebrating all the amazing things this organization does in our community.

Camp Innovation Visits the Dewey Beach Lions Club!

Camp Innovation from the Bellevue Community Center took a fun and educational field trip to the Dewey Beach Lions Club!

What is Camp Innovation? It’s a summer camp designed to blend fun, entertainment, and hands-on STEM-based learning for kids ages 5 to 12.

We welcomed about 60 energetic campers and treated them to a lineup of engaging speakers:

* Lion Zeke shared stories of his military service in the U.S. Air Force.

* Dewey Beach Lifeguard Hank spoke about the responsibilities and rewards of being an ocean lifeguard.

* Police Chief Constance discussed public safety and the dedication it takes to serve the community.

After the presentations, the kids enjoyed a pizza lunch and spent a couple of hours playing and relaxing on the beach.

This event was hosted in partnership with the Bellefonte Lions Club, and a great time was had by all!

Celebrating Outstanding Service – Dewey Beach Lions Awards 2025

Earlier this month, we honored five exceptional Lions whose dedication and service went above and beyond:

Cindy Vincent – Key Award
For opening the door to Lionism by recruiting at least two new members.

Lisa Kniceley – Service Award
For her tireless behind-the-scenes work supporting our annual golf tournament, community day, and Christmas activities over many years.

Jerry Hirst – Lion of the Year
For over 13 years of unselfish service, building more than 400 ramps to provide individuals with vital access to their homes—rain or shine, heat or snow.

Zeke Przygocki – Presidential Award
For his leadership and dedication in serving as King Lion for two consecutive years.

Dennis Diehl – Life Membership Award
In recognition of his unwavering and long-standing service to the Dewey Beach Lions Club.

We are proud to serve alongside such dedicated individuals. Congratulations to all our honorees

They’ve hatched!

Our favorite feathered family is growing — the osprey eggs at the Dewey Beach Osprey Cam just hatched, and the chicks are officially stealing the show!

We at the Dewey Beach Lions Club are pretty excited to sponsor this up-close look at beachside wildlife. Whether you’re a bird nerd or just need a break from your workday, pop in and watch the fluffballs get fed, squawk, and grow up fast.
