Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year experience in veterinary medicine.
Familiarity with electronic medical records. (Experience with Cornerstone preferred)
Friendly, outgoing, team-oriented personality.
Attention to detail.
Firm understanding of veterinary medicine and ability to educate clients as needed.
Compassion for clients and patients.
Job Duties:
The duties of a Veterinary Technician include, but are not limited to:

IV blood draws, IV catheters, administering medications, monitoring anesthesia, taking radiographs, client service, patient care, etc.

We are currently looking for a compassionate and motivated Kennel Technician to provide top notch care and attention to our clients' dogs, cats and exotic pets boarding with us at our animal hospital’s state of the art kennel!

This position requires a person who LOVES animals and is a friendly team player with a positive attitude. You must be hard working and reliable, a problem solver, while being able to take both direction and initiative, in a very fast-paced work environment. You must be able to listen effectively and communicate clearly with staff and clients to ensure customer satisfaction.

Full or Part Time positions available. We offer competitive compensation including generous employee pet discounts for up to 10 pets and paid sick time as well as medical insurance, IRA with employer contribution and paid vacation for full time employees. Compensation DOE. Starting at $13 per hour with no experience with a 90 day review.

Duties include, but are not limited to, handling, bathing, light grooming, feeding, and exercise, medicating and monitoring health for cat, dog and exotic pet boarders at our animal hospital, assisting technicians/doctors when needed, assisting in radiology. You will also be required to perform general cleaning duties for both the hospital and kennels.

Kennel experience preferred with excellent customer service and computer skills. Must be available to work a flexible schedule (Sun - Sat 6am - 7pm) and be willing to work weekdays, weekends and holidays. Work weeks are typically 3-5 days per week for full time employees.

You must be able to stand and work on your feet for long periods of time, sit, bend down and lift up to 40 lbs.
