Jay D Rodgers, of Dexter, Missouri, was born on May 17, 1966 to JA Rodgers and Linda (Frazier) Newell in Malden, Missouri and passed away on April 12, 2026 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 59.
On March 25, 1989, Jay and Tiska Buskey were united in marriage in Dexter, Missouri and were happily married for 37 years and she survives of the home.
Jay had been a resident of Southeast Missouri for the entirety of his life and was of the Baptist faith. Jay loved his family, enjoyed playing pool with his friends, working on model cars and woodworking.
Surviving family include his loving wife, Tiska Rodgers, of Dexter, Missouri, three children, Jay Wesly (Cara Mchugh) Rodgers, of St. Louis, Missouri, Benjamin Andrew (Cory) Rodgers, of Dexter, Missouri and Jon Samuel (Kaitlyn) Rodgers, of Jackson, Missouri, his father, JA Rodgers, of Dexter, Missouri, stepfather, David Newell, of Perryville, Missouri, four siblings, Danny (Penny) Rodgers, of Imperial, Missouri, Glen (Melissa) Rodgers, of Dexter, Missouri, Glenda (Bill) McCoy, of Sikeston, Missouri and Carrie (Brandon) Chappell, of Dexter, Missouri, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Jay was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Newell.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri, beginning at 10 A.M. The funeral will follow at 11:30 A.M.

Della Mabel Wiseman was born on May 5, 1928 to the late Robert and Lottie (Fish) England in Painton, Missouri and passed away on April 5, 2026 in Bernie, Missouri at the age of 97.
On March 8, 1947, Della England Married Cecil Wiseman and they were married until 1981.
Della was a resident of Southeast Missouri for the entirety of her life, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lady Auxiliary. She loved playing bingo, and before being unable to play, she would find somewhere to play nearly every day. Della loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Surviving family include her children, Kenneth Wiseman and Peggy Shaver, both of Dexter, Missouri, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Della was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Richard Wiseman, 8 siblings, a granddaughter, Jessica Whalen, a Daughter-in-Law, Clara Whitaker Wiseman, and a Son-in-Law, Bill Shaver.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri at 2 P.M.

Cheryl Jean Faries was born on December 10, 1944 in Flint, Michigan to the late Allie and Geneva (Steinmeier) Buchanan and passed away on March 28, 2026, in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 81.
On October 11, 1984, Cheryl Buchanan and Gary Faries were united in marriage and were happily married until his passing on June 11, 2025.
Cheryl was a resident of Southeast Missouri for the entirety of her life and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Puxico, Missouri. She enjoyed crafting, painting, sewing and reading books.
Surviving family include her children, Troy (Holly) Faries, of Troy, Missouri, Glen Hodge, of Puxico, Missouri, Jamie (Shawnta) of Dexter, Missouri, Joey Faries, of Cobb Junction, Missouri, Wesley (Maria) Faries, of Puxico, Missouri and Sherry Trout, of Puxico, Missouri, 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, a brother, Dallas (Marla) Buchanan, of Dexter, Missouri and 2 sisters, Joy (Jeff) Buchanan, of Colfax, Wisconsin and Zena (Chuck) Onstott, of Tuscola, Illinois, as well as 16 nieces and 9 nephews.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gary, a daughter-in-law, Tammie Hodge, and a brother, Dennis Buchanan.
The family will be hosting a memorial service in her honor at a later date.

Bryan Pinkston Jr. of Bloomfield, Missouri was born January 12, 1930 in Greider, Arkansas, to the late Rufus Bryan and Lovie (Williams) Pinkston and passed away on March 26, 2026 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 96 years old.

Bryan graduated high school and went on to get two years of college. He started his career for the US Army Corp of Engineers in 1953 and rose to Captain several large steam driven dredge boats. His father Rufus worked for the Frisco railroad and the family lived in different railroad towns as Bryan grew up. The family was living in Bainbridge, near Egypt Mills when "Junior" Pinkston, as he was called in his high school yearbook, met and married Dorothy Heise in 1948. They had three children: Diane, Steven, and Marilyn and lived in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He retired to his farm near Bloomfield, where he married his second wife Lynn Marie Pinkston, and raised Angus cows and chickens. After Lynn died, he married a third wife, Lina Pinkston who he also survived.

Surviving family include: two daughters and one son, Diane Pinkston of Houston, Texas, Steven (Debbie) Pinkston of Friedheim, Missouri, Marilyn (Basil) Harrison of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, three grandchildren; Charles (Jennifer) Pinkston of Texas, Elliott (Christina) Larmie of Florida, Nichole Larmie of House Springs, Missouri, two great grandchildren; Sam Larmie of Florida and Nate Pfeifer of House Springs, Missouri, one sister, Joyce Farrow of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Bryan and Lovie Pinkston, and wives, Dorothy Pinkston, Lynn Marie Pinkston and Lina Pinkston.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 10:00-11:00 am at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.

John Franklin Buttry

John Franklin Buttry, 70, of Puxico, Missouri passed away March 21, 2026 at his home in Puxico.
John, known as Johnny, the middle son of Dick and Betty (Sifford) Buttry, was born on August 27, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Johnny married his high school sweet-heart Terry Sweeten on May 15, 1976. They welcomed their first daughter, Stephanie in 1978 and their second daughter, Shannon in 1982. Johnny loved his family deeply and was always there for them.
Johnny began serving the Lord at a young age, singing specials at church with his mother at the age of four. Singing continued to be a passion of his and eventually sang in a quartet called the "Ladder Day Saints".
Johnny's ministry continued through singing and youth ministry until 1986 when the Lord called him to preach the gospel. Johnny began his ministry at Vinta Park General Baptist Church as a youth minister. In 1990 Johnny was called to his first pastoral position at New Vision General Baptist Church. Johnny went on to pastor Brown General Baptist, Westside General Baptist, and was again pastoring Brown General Baptist when the Lord called him home.
As a bi-vocational pastor Johnny worked in construction, at a golf course, and drove a bus for Puxico schools.
Through his life Johnny enjoyed many past times. He loved softball, teaching his daughters to love it too, football, hunting, fishing, competitive archery, and knife making.
Above all else Johnny loved the Lord and served Him with all his heart.
Surviving family include: wife, Terry Buttry, two daughters, Stephanie (Jeremy) Chambers of Forsyth, Missouri, Shannon Alsup of Wapappello, Missouri, four grandchildren, Karissa (Will) Hitchcock of Forsyth, Missouri, Bradyn Alsup of Springfield, Missouri, Hunter Chambers of Forsyth, Missouri, Kristiana (James Black) Alsup of Mart, Texas, two great grandchildren, Briggs Hitchcock of Forsyth, Missouri and Kash Black of Mart, Texas, one niece, Sheena (Yao Shi) Buttry Shi of Minnesota, three nephews, Dick (Megan) Buttry of St. Louis, Missouri, Brian (Melissa) Buttry of St. Louis, Missouri, and Nathan Buttry of St. Clair, Missouri, His mother, Betty Buttry of Puxico, Missouri, brother, Mike (Lesa) Buttry of St. Clair, Missouri.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Loran Buttry of Puxico, Missouri, brother, Daniel (Linda) Buttry of Barnhart, Missouri.

Linda Marie Mills of Wapappello, Missouri was born March 18, 1955 in East St. louis, Illinois and passed away at her home on March 19, 2026 at the age of 71 years old.
Linda has lived in this area for 36 years, coming from East St. Louis, Illinois where she was born. She did a lot of volunteer work for the veterans, putting flags on the graves, Ladies Auxillary, she worked for the Corp of Engineers, cleaning park benches, cleaning up litter, helping with the nature shows for the kids, she also volunteered for the kids fishing derby every year. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving family include: two daughters, Kelli Crockett (Darrell Beyer) of Essex, Missouri, Jamie Lynn (Christopher) Gibbons of Freeport, Illinois, seven grandchildren: Devancy, Chrislynn, Mia and Stephanie Gibbons, Alexandra (Eli) Thompson of Piedmont, Missouri, Madison Snyder of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Cody Harris (Amber Burgett) of Doniphan, Missouri, three great-grandchildren, Ava Harris, Jaxson Thompson, Noah Sansoucie, Linda's brother Roberts children, Shawn Hazel of Wapappello, Missouri and Traci Hazel of St. Louis, Missouri. Linda's best friend and roommate Jo Ellen Bailey of Wapappello, Missouri.

Randy Lee Curd of Dudley, Missouri, was born on October 19, 1957, to the late Bonnie and Laura (Kerr) Curd in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and passed away on March 12, 2026 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 68.

On March 22, 2008, Randy and Ruth Ann Morgan were united in marriage in Puxico, Missouri and she survives of the home.

Randy was a resident of Southeast Missouri for the entirety of his life, and attended Brown General Baptist Church In Puxico, Missouri. Randy enjoyed drag racing, trains, barbecuing, spending time with his friends and family and was always joking with others.

Surviving family include his wife, Ruth Ann Curd, of Dudley, Missouri, 2 brothers, Curt and Bill Ellis, 2 sisters, Theresa (Kenneth) Isaac, of Puxico, Missouri, and Kathy Ellis, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents and a cousin, Gary.

Larry Jennings was born November 23, 1945 to the late Paul and Estelle (Garner) Jennings and gained his angel wings on March 9, 2026. He was 80 years old.

Larry was a lifelong farmer who dedicated much of his life to raising livestock. In addition to farming, he also served his community through his work with the United States Postal Service. Larry was known as a neighbor to all—always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors at a moment's notice.

Larry was deeply committed to his community and served many years as a member of the Bell City R-2 School Board, where he worked to support and improve education for local families.

On February 22, 1976, Larry married the love of his life, Jenny. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, and hard work. Larry and Jenny shared 50 loving years together, raising their children and creating countless cherished memories.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Jenny Jennings of the home; his son, Ron (Tonya) Chapman of Corydon, Kentucky; and his daughter, Cheri (Jeanette) Chapman of Bell City, Missouri. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Steven Chipman and Stephanie Chapman, and his great-grandchild, Ryan Patterson, who will continue to carry his memory forward.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Estelle (Garner) Jennings, as well as one brother and two sisters.

Larry will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his dedication to his family and community, and the kindness he showed to everyone he met. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Katie Anna Tanks, of Dexter, was born on July 23, 1949, to the late Davis and Lillian (Davis) Pattison in Pennsylvania, and passed away on March 5, 2026 in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 76.

Kattie was of the Jewish-Baptist faith and enjoyed playing bingo.

Jerry Lee Seabaugh was born October 4, 1937 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to the late Paul & Ethel Seabaugh and passed away on February 23, 2026 in Conroe, Texas at the age of 88 years old.

On December 15, 2001, Jerry Seabaugh and Tlarrissa Melton were united in married and she preceded him in death on October 12, 2024.

Jerry was a 1955 graduate of Bloomfield High School and a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served four years before his honorable discharge in October of 1962. After his discharge, Jerry began a lifelong career as an over-the-road truck driver with his dad Paul, and then an owner-operator himself. He spent over forty-five years driving his trucks in every state of the continental US. He was a retired Teamster and loved his trucking life.

Jerry is survived by his three sons, Jerry Lynn Seabaugh (Dinah) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Chris Seabaugh (Billie Jo, deceased) of St. Joseph, and Jeffery Michuel Melton (Julie) of Cleveland, Texas and a daughter, Tammi Babcock (Paul) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and his brother, Don Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
