The Reason 🎁 for the Season❓

As we approach the holiday season, regardless of your situation, take a moment to pause and think 🤔 about who Jesus is and what He has done for you.

For many families 👨‍👩‍👦, the Christmas season is a time filled with cherished traditions. Family members gather, retrieve the decorations from the attic 🎄, and cook beloved meals 🥩🍤🍗.

There are plenty of practices and beliefs observed on Christmas and throughout the holiday season, but what I want you to ask yourself is: "What is the reason?" 🥺 What is the purpose of the gifts 🎁, the joyful music 🎶, and the time away from work? 😁

Luke 21:11 says, “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” This is why Jesus was born, to be our Savior and to reconcile us to Himself (1 Jn 4:14; 2 Cor. 5:18-19; Col. 1:19-20).

Um... What does that mean❓

That means that Jesus came to pave the path for us to have peace 🕊with God and receive forgiveness 😇 for our sins (Rom. 5:10) and to free us from the shackles of sin ⛓ and grant us victory, favor, prosperous success, and an abundant and everlasting life 😇 (Jn 15:13; 10:10).

Christmas can look a bit different depending on where we are in life, but let’s celebrate our faithful, loving God, who gives us the incredible gift of everlasting life, for this is truly the reason for the season.
