Today, September 17, 2025, marks 16 years since the disappearance of Mitrice Richardson. Sometimes it seems like just yesterday since she went missing and other times it feels like a million years ago. What has not changed is the grip of pain in my heart when I think of how her beautiful life was taken, and still no answers. Rest easy my friend and I hope you and your mother are at peace. On this day, August 9, 2010, the naked, skeletal remains of Mitrice Richardson were discovered in the canyons of Malibu, California, after she was released from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's station on September 17, 2009. Despite the conclusion drawn by the most recent podcast, "Lost Hills," hosted by Dana Goodyear, Mitrice Richardson's case remains an unsolved death investigation. It is important to continue to seek justice for Mitrice Richardson and plead for someone to come forward with information leading to the solving of her disappearance and death. If you have any information about the disappearance and death of Mitrice Richardson, I will be happy to take that information and fight to get the information looked into. Sheriff Luna's focus is on the fact that the LASD has been cleared of wrongdoing which is not the focus of my concern at this point. My focus is on the fact that the detectives will not follow up on potential evidence, even knowing that it may contain DNA leading to a killer.

As you are cleaning out your closets this week, please set aside some items for this Saturday's clothing drive.

Edgar Jacuinde-Torres invited me to a recent clothing drive pop-up at the Pomona Pride Center and it was eye-opening to see the members of the local community who come out to receive clothing from the center.

All donations to Mitrice's Closet will benefit the Pomona Valley Pridecenter. If you are not local to the Pomona area, please contact me and I can connect you with a worthy organization in your area.

Time to clean out those closets for the 2nd annual clothing drive sponsored by REACH For Mental Health Awareness. Adult, teen, children, and baby clothing/shoes are needed. Donations benefit the Pomona Valley Pride where a clothing pantry is open to all in need in the community.
