A new season is coming 🤍

It's been quiet around here for some time! As many of you know, our family relocated the MS Gulf Coast in 2023 and I took a big step back from birth work during that transition. The break didn't mean the fire was out though! I've continued to support growing families over the past few years when the opportunity arose and have enjoyed every minute of the slower pace. I have also spent the last 2 years serving as director for my local homeschool community, but as our family has prayed about our next steps- I will be transitioning out of this role in the spring and will begin offering doula services again. It is always such a joy to get to walk this sweet journey alongside new families.

I shared earlier this year that due to moving away and our current life season of investing in church planting, I have significantly cut back on doula work. ✨What is early labor?✨

Early labor is the first stage of labor, when contractions are normally mild, and last somewhere between 30-45 seconds. This stage can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days 😅. So what to do?

Eat, drink, distract, and rest. You’ll need your energy later! Go for a walk around Target, take a nap, or do some nesting…but conserve your energy as much as you can.
