It is an honor to serve the residents of Diamondhead. We are thankful to Mayor Nancy Depreo and the city council for helping us bring awareness and proclaiming May as Better Hearing Month.
It was an honor to present Dr. Brittany S. Fischtziur, Au.D., F-AAA, Audiologist with
The Better Communication Clinic,
5402 W. Aloha Drive with the following proclamation. She does amazing work in Diamondhead and volunteers to serve in her community. Thank you for all you do.
WHEREAS, audiologists in Diamondhead, MS, observe and celebrate Better Hearing Month each year during the month of May; and
WHEREAS, Diamondhead Council recognizes and values the efforts of all who work to eliminate or minimize the isolating effects of communication disorders in the one in five families affected by them; and
WHEREAS, our citizens who have overcome communication disabilities through the services of audiologists are now able to lead independent, productive, and fulfilling lives; and
WHEREAS, our veterans are returning from service with the main medical complaint of tinnitus and hearing loss as the second most common complaint, and audiologists are diagnosing and helping our veterans; and
WHEREAS, Diamondhead is proud and honored to have audiologists offering quality education and health care services to its citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Nancy Depreo, Mayor of Diamondhead, do hereby proclaim May 2024, as:
Better Hearing Month in the City Of Diamondhead.
