A July and August cold treat for skin!

Our Cryo Facial is an all cold facial that includes cold stone massage, ice globes, cryotherapy wand, and cold towels. This facial focuses on depuffing the skin, increasing blood circulation which brings oxygen to the surface of the skin, and hydrating dry, imbalanced skin.

An incredible pain relieving treatment now offered at Zen Spas is the myofascial release method by John Barnes.

The first question most people ask is, “what is fascia?” and “how does it cause pain?” Fascia is a web-like, fluid filled structure that passes around and through every structure in the body like one massive spider web from the front to the back, from your head to your toes, and fingertips as one continuous piece of fascia. An example of fascia is that clear, yet tough, saran wrap looking material on a raw chicken breast. Each of us has one continuous sheet of this fascia surrounding every structure in our bodies. When fascia has restrictions from surgeries, injuries, or disease, it can become “stuck” on itself much like saran wrap and places up to 2000 lbs. per square inch of force on blood vessels, lymph vessels, nerves and muscles passing through that area resulting in crushing pain.

Myofascial release (MFR) speeds recovery, decreases pain and inflammation, reduces/treats scars, and restores range of motion even years after initial injury.

The John Barnes myofascial release method involves a gentle pull and pressure on the area affected, followed by the client’s fascial system unwinding and releasing pressure on nerves, blood vessels, and muscles. This method differs from others by focusing on the entire body, not just one area. Hydration, timing, and communication are paramount for this service.

Rylie may be newly licensed, but skincare has been her passion for years. She began her journey at Zen as a receptionist, where her love for skincare deepened and inspired her to pursue formal esthetics training. After graduating in 2024, she returned to Zen—this time as an esthetician—ready to help clients achieve their healthiest, glowing skin.

She enjoys working with all skin types but has a special love for our Oxygen Facial, which leaves the skin revitalized and radiant. Whether you’re looking for relaxation or targeted skincare solutions, Rylie is here to provide a personalized and refreshing experience.
