Public Announcement – Police Training Exercise

The Friendswood Police Department will be conducting First Responder training and exercises at Friendswood High School on Thursday, December 27, 2018 between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This is a training session; there is no need for alarm or concern.

There will be a noticeable police presence at Friendswood High School during the exercise. This training exercise is NOT open to the public.

The City of Dickinson and Dickinson Office of Emergency Management will be conducting a test of the Dickinson Emergency Alert System on Friday, November 30th. The first test will be conducted 10:00a.m., and the second test will be at 7:00p.m.

Both tests will consist of a phone call, text message and email alert. We encourage all citizens in the City of Dickinson to register and participate in these tests. This system is what will be used to send out any alerts, updates and critical information during incidents impacting the city.

If you are not already registered for the Dickinson Alert System please do so by following the link below. For citizens with limited or no computer access, the Dickinson Public Library has computers available to use for registering for the Emergency Alert System.

On March 14, 2018 the Texas City Police Department, Texas City Emergency Management, Texas City ISD Administration, Galveston County Sheriff’s Office and Galveston County Pct. 3 Constables Office will be conducting Active Shooter Training at the Texas City High School. This training will be conducted while school is out for spring break. No students will be involved in any of the Active Shooter drills.
