In recognition of National Speech-Language-Hearing Month, the focus is on communication. From sharing basic needs to connecting with loved ones, communication is at the heart of daily life. When a person has a speech, language, or cognitive disorder, even simple interactions can become challenging—for them and for the caregivers who support them. With the right strategies, caregivers can reduce frustration and confusion, support independence and confidence, strengthen relationships and daily routines and improve quality of life for those in their care. We made two fun stops today!

First, we visited the DVRCC to drop off May baskets for May Day. Our tenants also made more tie blankets for the families there, along with other essential items. It was such a meaningful way to give back.

After that, we headed to the new ice cream shop downtown where we met up with our friends from Edgewood and PAV. The ice cream was delicious, and the shop was busy with all kinds of customers.

It was a great day! 🍦💛

Yesterday our Benedict Court tenants set out on an adventure in the great North Dakota wind. 🌬️🍕

They headed to the new Pizza Hut location for a delicious lunch outing, and it did not disappoint! The food was enjoyed by all, and the hospitality from Paula and Nick made the experience even more special.

Our tenants shared that they had such a great time and are already looking forward to their next visit. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon! ❤️
