The Dickinson "Swamp Smokers" competed at the National High School BBQ Association Texas State Championship this past weekend at Burnet High School.

We were fortunate enough to hear our name called at the state level placing 10th in the Ribeye category.

Unfortunately, we landed on some tough tables and did not have what some of the judges were looking for in the other categories.

It was a great year with this fantastic group of kids. Thank you to all of our supporters and sponsors throughout this BBQ Season.

“…Living to Serve” Dickinson FFA recognizes the incredible work the DHS administrative assistant team does for our campus. As part of their plant science unit our Principles of Ag students propagated succulents to give to our wonderful administrative assistants across the campus. Way to go Greenhands!

Quality Counts is now open for members who need to complete the course for the first time or renew their verification.

Quality Counts verification is required for all major livestock show exhibitors, and the verification number must be included when submitting entries. Some county and local shows may also require certification, so early completion is strongly encouraged.

Remember, exhibitors only need to complete Quality Counts once per grade level division: Junior (Grades 3–5); Intermediate (Grades 6–8); Senior (Grades 9–12).

FAQs can be found at https://texasyouthlivestock.com/quality-counts/
