Due to inclement arctic weather this weekend, Dickinson FFA will implement special procedures at the ag barn to ensure the safety of our students and livestock.

Parents and Students, please ensure all animals will continue to receive daily care, with additional measures taken to protect them from extreme cold including additional bedding. Student access to the ag barn may be limited or temporarily suspended during severe weather or power outages.

Please follow these guidelines:

Cattle Barn:

On Friday, water will be turned off, and preventative coverings will be added by our Maintenance Dept to the water system. Water will be accessible in the large sink by the show ring or in the Main Barn. Please DO NOT remove any protective coverings or turn on any other water access locations.

Main Barn:

Water will remain on except for exterior water connections. Please ensure that all exterior doors remain closed throughout the weekend. Heaters and ventilation will be managed by Dickinson ISD to maintain safe conditions.

Updates will be shared through Dickinson FFA BAND and on our page. Parents and students are encouraged to monitor all communications closely during inclement weather. Please contact your species advisor for any issues that may arise at the ag barn facility. Thank you for your cooperation as we prioritize safety during cold weather conditions.

Friendly reminder that the Small Animal portion of our annual livestock show is coming up fast! The swine, lambs, goats, and rabbit show will be held on Saturday, January 31st.
- For pre-registration online, our RevTrak link will CLOSE on THURSDAY, January 29th.
- For the rabbit show, there will not be an option to pay for a rabbit entry the day of, but you will be able to pay for showmanship the day of.
- The rest of the animals do accept day-of payments, but it is CASH ONLY!
