At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a fire was reported in a medical office building on the LVH–Dickson City campus, which also impacted the attached hospital. LVH–Dickson City was immediately evacuated in close coordination with local emergency responders. All patients, colleagues, and visitors safely exited the building. As part of the evacuation, patients were safely transported to other area healthcare facilities to ensure continuity of care.
We are deeply grateful to our colleagues and emergency response partners whose swift, coordinated actions helped protect and safely relocate more than 70 patients, their visitors and the staff members caring for them. The professionalism and preparedness of our staff and first responders was critical in ensuring everyone’s safety.
The hospital remains temporarily closed while teams conduct thorough damage assessments and plan for a safe reopening.
