Answering the call – on and off the clock.

When a large fire broke out near LVH–Dickson City, nurse and volunteer firefighter David Spalding, RN, didn’t hesitate. After seeing the alert, he drove for over an hour to support fellow firefighters and help protect the community he serves every day. His story is one of courage and an unwavering commitment to others.

Thank you to our community and colleagues for your continued support following the recent fire at LVH–Dickson City. Thanks to your partnership and encouragement, we were able to serve more than 250 patients during our first weekend back.

The hospital, including emergency and surgical services, will reopen tomorrow, Friday, February 13th. The ER will resume operations at 7:00 am with the OR following at 9:00am. Achieving this reopening one week after such a devastating fire underscores the extraordinary coordination, commitment and resilience of more than 400 Jefferson colleagues, partners and contractors working around the clock to safely restore care for the community.
