This year the theme for World Brain Day is "Brain Health for All Ages! This theme highlights the importance of brain health throughout all of life, beginning before birth and spanning through childhood, adulthood, and beyond. Ways to improve and maintain your brain health include regular exercise, a nutritious diet, sufficient sleep, stress management, and learning new things! Happy World Brain Day!

Happy UV safety awareness month! Here at the Woman's Health Center we want to provide you with a few ways to keep your skin protected this summer! Wear a hat, use UV protective sunglasses, wear protective clothing, avoid being in direct sunlight in the middle of the day (about 11 am - 3 pm), use sunscreen (with at least SPF 30), and drink plenty of water throughout the day. Those of you who enjoy our many lakes and rivers, remember that water reflects sunlight! Have an amazing summer and protect your skin!

Our employee spotlight for July is Dr. Steidl's number-one nurse, Lala! ✨ If you have been a patient of Dr. Steidl's for any amount of time, you have met or had the pleasure of interacting with Lala. She is a joy to work with and is dedicated to the patients she is responsible for. 🏥 A little bit about her, she has been married for 21 years to her sweet husband, Michael, and they have three daughters. Lala's favorite things outside of her family are her dog Albus, coffee, and Dr. Pepper. But her favorite aspect of her job is being there to offer assistance to her patients, as well as the love she shares with her team at work. 👥 Lala's fun fact is that she loves Snoop Dogg! Let's show Lala just how much we appreciate all of her hard work this month! From the Women's Health Center, thank you for all you do, Lala!! 🙌

Who does not have a better day after being greeted by Bailey here at the Women's Health Center? We all adore her, and are so sad to announce that this will be her last week with us as she pursues her life's adventures outside of our office! Please join us in letting Bailey know how much we have appreciated her hard work and joyful attitude over the past few years. We wish you all the best, Bailey!

We are now accepting applications at our check-in/ check-out desk! Our sweet check-in girl, Bailey, has been with us for three years but is leaving us to pursue a career in personal training and nutrition coaching. We are so sad to see her go, but happy she is following her passion! Nevertheless, we will need to replace her, so we are looking to fill this position ASAP, so the sooner you send in your application, the better!

Welcome to the world, Atlas and Elle!

It’s not every day that sisters deliver babies, in adjacent rooms, just five hours apart. Katie and Ally have always been close, but this experience uniquely strengthened their bond. They can’t wait to watch their children grow up together!

We are grateful for the trust these precious families placed in our labor and delivery teams. TriStar Horizon is proud to offer comprehensive maternity services so that both mother and baby – and the best big sisters and dads - are supported throughout every step of labor and delivery. We truly !

June's employee spotlight is one of our newest nurses, Rachel Mathis! Rachel is Dr.Hay's nurse. She graduated from Murray State University and TCAT in Paris, TN. Although she has only been with us a few months, Rachel brings a lively air to the office setting and with her patients! Her favorite part of her job (so far 😉) is learning and growing as a team to provide our patients and their families with the best possible care. 🏥 Rachel's fun fact is that her favorite hobby outside of raising her children (who are just the cutest!) is astronomy and enjoying the night sky! 🌃🌙 We can't wait to get to know Rachel better and grow together. We are so happy to have her as part of our growing team here! ✨ If you see her, don't forget to ask her what her favorite consultation is! 🌃
