Freeman Recovery’s April Landry appeared on "Today in Nashville" () to open up about her journey through breast cancer treatment following her battle with addiction.She shared how, while her experiencewith cancer was very challenging, it was much easier for her to seek support for a physical illness than it ever was during her recovery from addiction. The stigma surrounding addiction and mental health made reaching out feel nearly impossible, and the shame kept her suffering in silence for far longer than she needed to.April's story serves as a powerful reminder that asking for help should never be a source of shame, no matter the struggle.
