Help For Veterans, Inc. Our mission is to assist veterans in Dillon County, South Carolina, who are in need. We are all volunteers.

MISSION STATEMENT:
To help find assistance for homeless and low-income veterans in Dillon County, SC, through involvement with the local community and businesses as well as other government and national organizations. In addition, to help them obtain optimal levels of healthcare, education, and training that will enable the veterans to enter into society at a level the veterans have earned and deserve. OTHER INFORMATION:
Help For Veterans, Inc., is a 501(c)3 organization 100% of all donations will be used for Veterans in Dillon County, SC; there will be no salaries taken.

REV. LARRY WILLIAMS BLESSING OTHERS
On Friday, September 5, beginning at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Larry Williams and the Tabernacle of God Ministries will be distributing care bags to the City of Dillon and County of Dillon employees in appreciation for the support shown by the City of Dillon and the County of Dillon for the "Prayer Around The Courthouse" held on Saturday, August 30, that began at 11:00 a.m.
The event on Friday, September 5, will be held on the corner of Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd. and East Harrison Street on the property owned by Conner Bracey.
Additionally, Rev. Wms. and the Tabernacle of God Ministries will be at the 8th Annual Help For Veterans, Inc. Health Fair. He will prepare "care bags" and distribute same. He will also bring the Christian Jubilee Gospel Band.

Does VA pay for cremation or burial expenses?
VA does not pay for cremation directly. Any item or service obtained from a funeral home will be at the families' expense. Some Veterans' families may be entitled to a burial allowance

Can I be buried in a National Cemetery if Iโ€™m cremated?
Yes, either in ground or above ground placement is available, depending on the cemetery.

Can my spouse be buried with me in a VA National Cemetery?
Yes. However spousal benefits do not apply if the Veteran is buried in a private cemetery.

Anyone can be impacted by human trafficking. Family and intimate partners are the second and third most common recruiters of victims into trafficking, according to the National Human Trafficking Hotline. Emotional abuse, economic abuse, and threats are the top three methods of coercion.
VA is ready to assist Veterans impacted by human trafficking by helping identify risk and providing immediate care.

The State of South Carolina offers a tuition-free education at any state-supported college, university, or technical school for eligible children of wartime veterans โ€” with no state funding required for this benefit.

Children age 26 and under may qualify if their veteran parent meets residency and military service requirements, including honorable service during a wartime period.
