Effective Monday, June 7, 2021: Patients will be required to cancel their appointment 24 hours in advance or the patient will be subject to a $10 no show fee. No show fees are non-negotiable. Once again, your appointment must be cancelled 24 hours in advance or your account will be charged a $10 no show fee. We hope this will encourage patients to call ahead of time if they cannot make their appointment, so that someone else in need can get that spot. We provide an automated courtesy call 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment so that patients are provided with a reminder as well as the option to confirm or cancel their appointment. If you happen to miss our courtesy call, it will leave a voicemail which will also state our 24 hour cancellation policy. We hope this will allow us more openings for other patients that may need a visit with a provider. If it is after hours, you can still call our office to cancel an appointment ahead of time. For after hours, simply call 843-774-7336 and select option 2 and leave a voicemail.

Dillon Family Medicine and First Baptist Church paired together in August 2020 to help serve the community with COVID-19 testing services. It has been such an amazing service to the community and surrounding areas during the pandemic. As positive cases and testing needs continue to drop in our area, our last day of operation at First Baptist Church will be Thursday, May 20, 2021. Persons having Covid symptoms or desiring screening will be able to visit the drive-through site, at no cost to the patient, to receive RNA saliva testing until Thursday, May 20th. Thereafter, Dillon Family Medicine will be performing COVID nasal swab testing which will be sent out to a reference lab for results. Going forward, you will need to make an appointment with a DFM provider for ordering of the COVID nasal swab test.

THE WAIT IS OVER! We are now offering the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to anyone over the age of 18 on a walk-in basis. That's right, you can now walk-in for the COVID-19 vaccine without an appointment. NO NEED TO CALL OUR OFFICE, you can walk in between 7:30-4:00 on Monday-Thursdays and 7:30-11:30 on Fridays. Also, a popular question that we get is the time interval between the two doses. You have to wait at least 24 days between your first and second dose. As of right now, there is no max interval.

🦠‼️Covid is still heavily active in Dillon County. You should wear your mask😷, make an appointment for the vaccine 💉, and get tested monthly if you have not been fully vaccinated or had a previous positive test ➕. Starting Wednesday, March 31, age 18 and older can sign up for the Mederma vaccine at our office (Call 843-774-7336 for an appointment).

The vaccine is 90-95% effective in preventing infection and 100% effective against hospitalization and death from Covid-19 infection. 💯

You can receive RNA saliva Covid-19 testing at First Baptist Church in Dillon Monday-Friday 10AM-3PM. Saturday 10AM-2PM. At no cost to you. Results in 24 business hours! ‼️

😲Dillon County has the highest COVID positivity rate in South Carolina! COVID is not finished and will not be if we don’t each do our part to protect ourselves and others. If you have not been fully vaccinated, continue to wear your mask, socially distance, and GET TESTED monthly to stop the spread of this virus. Our COVID testing site at First Baptist Church is open Monday – Friday, 10AM-4PM and Saturday, 10AM-2PM.
