Starting the school year right means ensuring kids are up-to-date on their required vaccines—which include protection against:
💉 Hepatitis B (HepB)
💉 Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (DTaP) – Final doses required before Kindergarten
💉 Inactivated Poliovirus (IPV) – Final dose before Kindergarten
💉 Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) – Final dose before Kindergarten
💉 Varicella (Chickenpox) – Final dose before Kindergarten
💉 Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) – 1 dose required before 6th grade; applies to grades 6–12
Key deadlines:
Ages 4–6 → All final doses for DTaP, IPV, MMR, and Varicella must be completed before Kindergarten.
Entering 6th grade → One Tdap dose required (even if given before age 11).
Parents can also submit valid medical or non-medical exemptions if applicable. Check your child’s vaccine record early to avoid delays at school entry.
