Saturday Schedule Update!!

• Megan’s TRX Full Body class is moving to 8 AM
• The 9 AM spot will now alternate between Strong & Fit (Jenn) and a *NEW* TRX Mobility class (Megan)

Megan is excited to offer this new class! TRX Mobility is a slower-paced session designed to improve your mobility, flexibility, and joint health using the TRX straps for support.

This class is great if you’ve been feeling stiff or tight, are getting back into exercise after an injury or time away, or just want to move better and improve your balance and stability.

Doing TRX doesn’t always mean a high energy class. I am throwing this out there to see if there’s any interest in a slow Saturday morning mobility only class. My goal as a TRX instructor is not just to build muscle but to maintain the muscle you have.

Let’s be serious at one point in our lives we will fall down and question can I get back up? Let me help take that doubt out. Using the TRX straps we can work on basic mobility skills to help you stay independent longer. Please comment on here if that is something you’d be interested in me adding. They didn’t start here. They followed this 2 step process:

1. Show up.
2. Keep showing up.

Results don't happen overnight. And they always take waaaaayyy longer than we want.
But it does happen when you show up day after day, week after week, year after year. Not perfectly, but CONSISTENTLY.

Today’s fun fact Friday is….. TRX actually did a study in a physical therapy office using clients who had knee or hip replacements or had recent lower limb fractures. They took them from using the straps to stand up to not needing them at all. In this video you’ll see us using a stepper. The reason is we have been at this since October and my goal with you is building ankle mobility. I want you to be able to have confidence to blindly step back and know that your ankle is going to support you.

So let’s take it in a real life situation here. If you were to fall how would you stand up? A lunge is how. You would get that one foot under you and use it to push yourself up. What we do in the straps is help build that confidence.

One literal step at a time!!!!

Talk about it Tuesday! I want to start the discussion on why you got started and how I can help you. In this video you’ll see my ladies warming up in what’s called the I. This movement is a fantastic way to start building heat and to stretch not only your core but your shoulders too!

So tell me, what got you started in your journey and is there a way that TRX can help you?

For me it was breaking my wrist in 2021 and then having my gallbladder removed. I realized I was doing something wrong with my lifestyle that I knew I needed to change. I can’t imagine my life without fitness anymore. 🖤

When my kids were babies I desperately wanted (needed!) to workout alone. Now there is nothing I love more. 🥰

I believe that physical fitness, along with good, real food are two aspects of self care that will lead to a healthier version of yourself, both physically and mentally. You will notice your daily chores getting easier as you become stronger, and your recreation becoming more enjoyable as you increase your endurance. Your mind will be rewarded with clarity and focus and you will feel a great sense of pride and accomplishment as you progress in your training.
