1️⃣About Karina's Health and Life Coaching:
With the relentless demands of work and life responsibilities, we find ourselves struggling in the pursuit of trying to transform our health and bodies and we are looking for something greater. Sometimes we don’t know what to do to change, but more often it’s that we are stuck in a rut and don’t know how to get out of it.

95% of our behavior occurs out of habit, either unconsciously or in reaction to external demands. That’s why we struggle to make lasting changes and even when the need for change is obvious and our intentions are strong, we often fall short. That’s a problem, and most of what the diet and health industry can offer is “Eat fewer calories and exercise more”. If that worked, it would’ve worked. Did you know that 98% of dieters gain the weight back? And that the average person makes the same health-related New Year’s resolutions ten separate times without success? Why is that? Because they don’t have support and accountability.​

Doctors, dietitians and other practitioners don’t have the time or the skills to help people stay motivated and follow through to get a lasting result. So, people default to their set habits, even when they know those habits make them feel lousy. Without the right system, support and accountability, this dysfunctional cycle will continue and, in many cases, get worse. That’s where Health/Life coaches like myself come in, to provide the right SYSTEM, SUPPORT and ACCOUNTABILITY so you can-finally- make that transformation you desire and to help you achieve what you want in your life.​

No tricks or magic potions will influence the way your body looks and feels. A beautifully shaped and tight physique, a healthy lifestyle that allows you to enjoy life to the max requires an individualized program consisting of serious resistance training, cardiovascular exercise and an adherence to a diet filled with whole foods, low in fat, and high in protein and complex carbohydrates. Through my personalized one on one training program, you will get all this in the privacy and comfort of a fully equipped studio. I put my clients though a process that teaches and helps to create lasting changes which will improve their lives. As your coach, I will teach you, I will guide you and I will push you. 3️⃣ Dance at Zumba with Karina: If somebody were to ask me, what things has always been a part of my life? Without even thinking, I would say, “Fitness and Dancing”. I grew up in a musical country, in a family where music was always present. I danced since I was a child. I was always a part of my school dance team, took private classes, and gave private and public dancing presentations as a group, as well as couple dancing. It was not only a way of life; it also brought me tremendous satisfaction. Today, thanks to ZUMBA, I can enjoy that passion once again and share it with others. While incorporating DANCE into my fitness routine, I am also offering the BEST cardiovascular exercise there is, “high energy interval cardio training” and ZUMBA gave me the opportunity to teach and share with everyone, all the fun, energy and benefits that cardiovascular exercise can bring, all while “having a blast”! It creates space.
It gives you CHOICE — to respond with intention instead of defaulting to stress.

Sunday Evening Reset!
Before you start mapping out your to-do list or stressing over your Monday schedule…
Let’s take a moment to talk about something we all need more of — and rarely really give ourselves:

True rest.

Not just sleep.
Not collapsing on the couch scrolling.
But the kind of rest that lets your nervous system exhale.
The kind that restores, not just your body, but your being.

As we wrap up the weekend, I’m kicking off Stress Awareness Week with this reminder:

Most of us are carrying stress like a second job, and we don’t even realize it.
We operate with a low-level hum of tension that becomes “normal.”
But it chips away at our focus, our energy, our joy.

And somewhere along the line, we learned we have to earn our rest.
Prove our productivity. Hustle hard enough to deserve downtime.

Let’s change that, starting tonight:

You don’t have to earn your rest.

You don’t have to explain it.
You don’t have to feel guilty for it.

Before bed, take a breath.
💗 Place your hand on your heart.
🌬️ Inhale slowly.
Let your body know it’s safe to soften.

You’re not falling behind, you’re recharging for what’s next.
Let that be your power heading into this week. 💪

Finally Friday!!
Great Time to reflect, not just coast.

Because health and fitness is not about “the weight you lose, it’s about the life you gain.”

So ask yourself:
👉 Are you crossing the finish line this week proud of your choices?
👉 Or are you feeling drained, disappointed, and stuck in the same loop?

Look back 3 months. A year. Five.
Have your actions lined up with your goals?
Or are you still waiting for change… while repeating the same patterns?

You can’t expect your body to change if you keep living the same way that created the problem in the first place.

This weekend, instead of checking out with distractions,
Slow down just enough to check in.

What role are you playing in your results, or lack of them?

Here’s the hope:
You don’t have to be perfect.
You just have to be honest, and willing to take action and do better one little consistent step at a time.

Because once you experience the strength, confidence, and freedom that comes from real health…

Meet Barbi! She started my online Lift for Life program at 73, with zero experience and a busy life… and crushed it!

“When I started the Lift for Life program a year ago, I had no strength training experience. Zero. Nada. I wasn’t sure what to expect—just that I wanted to feel stronger, more energized, and more connected to me. What I got was all of that… and then some!

Although I’ve always loved eating healthy—my dad always said, “You are what you eat”—I had become inconsistent. Over time, I gained a lot of weight (I’m talking more than when I was 100% pregnant!) and I didn’t feel like myself. I was stuck in a cycle of grabbing things that felt comforting in the moment but were doing no favors for my waistline or energy.

This program gave me structure, steady support, simple but amazing recipes, and the consistent behaviors I’d been missing. I didn’t have to overhaul my life overnight—I just had to show up, learn, and stick with it. And guess what? It worked.

Before working with Karina, I was struggling to stay consistent and make time for myself in the middle of a very busy life. I was active, but I didn’t feel powerful. I wasn’t lifting weights, and I definitely wasn’t seeing the kind of changes I hoped for.

Fast forward to now? I’ve been consistent for an entire year. I’ve built real strength (hello, arms!), I feel more confident in my body, and I’ve discovered that I actually love weight training. Even better? I’ve done it all without being perfect—because, let’s be honest, life is life. But I kept showing up, even when it wasn’t easy, and that’s what made the difference.

This week, we’re celebrating Independence Day in the U.S, so let’s also celebrate something just as powerful: your personal health freedom! 🇺🇸💥

Because real freedom isn’t just about fireworks, It’s about feeling strong, energized, and free to live life on your terms. 💃🏻💪

Let’s make a fun Declaration of Independence (from all the things that don’t serve us!):

✨ Free from food guilt—you can enjoy the celebrations without obsession
✨ Free to move your body in ways that bring you joy (dance counts!)

Want to protect that freedom? Here are some foundations that help:

✅ Set a consistent sleep schedule (aim for 8 hrs)
✅ Strength train 2–3x a week to build real, lasting strength
✅ Move daily—walk, stretch, dance, lift

✅ Take 5 mins for calm (your nervous system needs it!)

Absolutely proud to celebrate this incredible milestone with my friend and client, Carole!
She was one of the first to say YES to herself and join my Lift for Life online health and fitness program last June. She came in thinking it was just about getting strength training and ended up transforming her entire health.💪

Her story is proof that when you commit fully and do the work, lasting change is possible—at any age, at any stage.

“I am so grateful to Karina for starting the online program. When I agreed to participate, I thought I was just going to be coached for strength training, not get an overall health and wellness program too. It’s a good thing that the program encompasses the health and wellness portion because a medical test revealed that my A1C was high. I wanted to work on getting it down into the normal range without having to take medicine. Through this past year, not only have I incorporated strength training into my regular workout routine, but I have also put the lessons regarding the health aspect into practice. I could not have done this without the commitment from Karina to coach and mentor me. She designed a strength training routine specifically for me to reach my goals, along with teaching good nutrition practices. Karina has furnished me with the tools to help me change what and how I eat to benefit my body. Planning, flexibility, the mantra of “Progress Not Perfection,” and the incorporation of strength training are the most important aspects of the program to me. By using the tools she has introduced this year I’ve lost weight, have less inflammation in my body, have improved sleep, and have lowered my A1C. Although I have accomplished quite a bit in the last year, I’m not done yet. I will continue my journey with Karina to get stronger and healthier.

MONDAY MOTIVATION: LIVE PROUD. TRAIN PROUD.

Living proud starts with how you live, how you show up for yourself, the values you stand by, and the way you care for your one and only vessel: your body.
It’s your home, your engine, your first impression, and the clearest reflection of how much you value yourself.

Living in alignment with your core values, like honesty, resilience, loyalty, or courage, means making choices that match the person you want to be.
Not just when it’s easy. But especially when it’s not.

Because pride isn’t built on what others think of you.
It’s built on how you think of you.
And that takes work.

That’s where training comes in.

Fitness is a daily practice of showing up with intention. It’s honest. It’s earned.
You can’t fake it. You can’t talk your way through it. You either do the work—or you don’t.

It’s called “working out” for a reason.
You give effort, you get strength. You give discipline, you get results.

And just like in life, there are no shortcuts worth taking.
