Three therapists. One practice. A whole lot of heart. 🌻

Megan, Elivia, and Grace each bring their own style and specialties to Rays of Wellness — but they share the same belief: that therapy should feel like a place you actually want to come back to.

Whether you're working through anxiety, grief, relationship patterns, teen stress, or just the weight of everyday life that won't let up — there's someone here for you.

In-person at our Dixon, IL office. Virtual across Illinois. And Grace sees clients virtually in Iowa too.

It's Mental Health Awareness Month — and if there was ever a time to take that first step, it's now. We're accepting new clients with no waitlist.

We'd love to find the right fit for you — visit raysofwellnesscounseling.com to learn more about the team.

You've probably heard of CBT — but what does it actually mean?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of the most researched therapy approaches out there, and it's built on a simple idea: your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected. When you shift one, the others follow.

In session, that looks like noticing the thought patterns that aren't serving you, understanding how they're affecting the way you feel, and practicing new ways to respond. It's practical, skill-based work — not just talking about your feelings in circles.

CBT is especially effective for anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and social anxiety. Elivia uses it with teens and adults here at Rays of Wellness.

Curious whether it might be a good fit for you? We'd love to talk.

Meet Elivia. 💛

Elivia works with couples, adults, teens, and youth (ages 9+) — and she brings over five years of experience to every session.

Her approach is practical and grounded. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help people work through anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, and the very real pressures of being a teenager right now. She's also experienced in supporting LGBTQ+ clients and creates a space where you don't have to explain or justify who you are.

No fixing. No filtering. No performing. Just a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

Elivia is currently accepting new clients — in person in Dixon, IL or virtually across Illinois.

101.7 River Country and Rays of Wellness want you to know that your story isn't over. Whether you feel like you've hit rock bottom or you just need someone to listen, help is closer than you think.

Rays of Wellness offers in-person therapy in Dixon and virtual therapy anywhere in Illinois.

You don't have to wait until things get worse. You don't have to have it all figured out before you call. You don't have to deserve help more than you already do.

Therapy isn't only for crisis. It's for the quiet overwhelm, the patterns you keep repeating, the heaviness you can't quite explain. It's for right now, exactly as you are.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month — and if you've been sitting on the idea of starting therapy, consider this your nudge.

We're accepting new clients and we'd love to connect.

Mother's Day isn't simple for everyone.

Maybe you're grieving her. Maybe your relationship is strained or painful. Maybe you are a mom and you're exhausted and nobody's asking how you're really doing. Maybe today just brings up a longing you can't quite name.

Whatever you're carrying today — you don't have to push it down or dress it up.

Complicated feelings don't mean something is wrong with you. They mean you're human, and this day holds a lot.

We see you today. And we're here whenever you're ready.

Not all closeness looks the same — and most of us stay in the shallower levels without even realizing it.

Level 1 is small talk. Safe, easy, surface. Level 3 is sharing what you actually think. And Level 5 — needs and fears — is where real vulnerability lives. Telling someone what you actually need, or what you're most afraid of. That one takes real trust.

Moving deeper isn't about forcing vulnerability. It's about building enough safety that it starts to feel possible.

This shows up in friendships, partnerships, and yes — in therapy too. One of the most powerful parts of the therapeutic relationship is that it's specifically designed to hold all five levels.

Whether you're working on deeper connection in your relationship or just trying to understand why some conversations feel stuck — this framework is a good place to start.

We'd love to connect — raysofwellnesscounseling.com
