I wrapped up my 2024 births yesterday with a fast and beautiful homebirth that started by the tree and ended with snow falling outside, pretty magical. ❄️

The last of (4!) clients that gave birth this week. I’m honored to do this work but also thankful to be “off call” for the next few days! 🥂 Happy Holidays!

I’m not your “typical doula” and I don’t want to teach a “typical class”. I believe homebirths are amazing, but they don’t work for everyone or make everyone feel safe.

My clients are often:

-Over 35
-Used IVF to get pregnant
-Want a (well timed) epidural
-Are at a higher risk for (necessary) intervention
-Just feel safer in a hospital

✨And that is OK!

Let’s have a thoughtful discussion on what feels right FOR YOU. This isn’t a workshop on how to decline everything at the hospital, it’s a workshop on getting the calm, confident and collaborative birth that feels right. No matter what that looks like ❤️

So excited to announce some NEW ADDITIONS to our new mom support groups! This month we are adding “Rivertown Mamas Irvington” AND a breastfeeding support circle. Held on alternating Wednesdays at a private home and led by post partum doula and lactation counselor Julia Fuller-Kling. Rivertown Mamas will be returning monthly, held by Hilary Baxendale at a new location in Dobbs Ferry by early June. All groups will be added to our website events calendar. Link in bio!
