Getting your first mammogram can feel a little intimidating, but it’s a vital step in protecting your health, and we’re here to make it as easy and comfortable as possible.

At Donalsonville Hospital, our caring team will walk you through every step. The appointment usually takes about 20 minutes. You’ll stand for the X-ray, and while there may be brief pressure, it’s over quickly, and it could save your life.

When Haley’s four-year-old son started struggling to breathe, her gut told her something wasn’t right. After visits to multiple providers and hospitals out of town, she still didn’t have answers, and things were getting worse.

By Saturday morning, back in her hometown of Donalsonville, he was out of surgery. A tonsillectomy, performed first thing that morning, brought him the relief he needed.

“He was admitted Friday night, and Dr. Walker had already completed the procedure before 9 a.m. Saturday. It all happened so fast, but it was the right care, at the right time, exactly where we needed it.”

At a time when they were being told to wait and to travel, Haley found immediate, compassionate care close to home. Donalsonville Hospital’s flexible scheduling and weekend availability made all the difference.
