La Sombra Apartments are currently seeking Sponsors and accepting donations for the Annual Christmas Gift Bags. These gift bags will be provided to 155 Elderly/Disabled & Family households of the following apartment communities, La Sombra, Oak Haven, Los Laureles, Las Brisas & Raintree Apartments.
Attached is a flyer of some of the items we would like to include. We always try to personalize each gift bag based on the donations we have received, so please do not feel that you are required to donate 155 of any single item.
Please know that no donation or amount is too small, including any marketing materials or important literature about your organization that could benefit our residents. All donations will be greatly appreciated!
Once the bags are assembled, we will notify those sponsors who donated. All sponsors will be invited to assist in the distribution, which we hope to distribute before December 13, 2024.

• Día de Mu***os: Es una tradición mexicana de origen prehispánico que combina creencias indígenas y elementos del catolicismo. Se celebra el 1 y 2 de noviembre, y su propósito es recordar y honrar a los seres queridos fallecidos, celebrando su vida con altares, ofrendas y visitas a los cementerios. Se cree que, en estos días, las almas de los difuntos regresan para estar con sus familias.
• Día de Mu***os: Las ofrendas y altares incluyen flores de cempasúchil, velas, fotografías de los difuntos, papel picado, calaveras de azúcar, pan de mu**to y alimentos que les gustaban a los fallecidos. Es una celebración colorida y festiva, llena de respeto y cariño, donde se honra a los mu**tos de manera alegre.
• Día de Mu***os: Se enfoca en la conexión con los seres queridos que han fallecido, recordándolos con alegría y manteniendo viva su memoria.

Can you believe it's that time of year again!

We are having our Annual School Supply Drive for the children of our Low-Income Families in our apartment communities in Edcouch, Donna, and Alamo. We have attached a flyer for your convenience.

All donations are very much appreciated. Please include any flyers or marketing materials so we can include in them in the bags.
