Dr. Alejandro Badia, hand and upper limb surgeon, is the creator and founder of Badia Hand to Shoulder Center in the heart of Doral, Florida. This state of the art facility is housed on the ground floor of the Doral Pavilion Center near 3 major highways. Patients from abroad will find our close proximity to Miami International Airport and relationships with local hotels allow for the facilitation
of quality and stress free care. Our patients have access to digital radiographs, MRI imaging, physical and occupational therapy along with an advanced outpatient surgical center. All problems pertaining to the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder may be handled under one roof. Dr. Badia was educated at Cornell University for undergraduate studies and graduated from New York University, where he later trained in orthopedic surgery while chief resident at Bellevue Hospital, in New York City. His hand surgery fellowships were in Pittsburg and Europe and he co-founded the Miami Hand Center. Dr. Badia is currently the President of ISSPORTH and is a member of ASSHA, AAHS , AAOS and an honorary member of multiple international hand societies. Dr. Badia also works closely with members of the International Orthopedic Group in order to appropriately refer ANY musculoskeletal problem to the appropriate colleague.
