🧠What if playtime was your child's most important lesson in geometry and physics?

​Play isn't just fun; it's how kids build a vital understanding of their world! When your child climbs, slides, spins, and builds, they are actively developing two abilities:

​🤸 Body Awareness (Proprioception): The internal sense of where their body parts are and how much force to use. This is crucial for things like sitting still, writing neatly, or catching a ball.

​🌍 Spatial Awareness: Understanding where their body is in relation to other objects and people. This is the foundation for navigating a crowded room, reading a map, or judging how fast to run to avoid a collision.

​From stacking blocks to playing hide-and-seek, every minute of play is a lesson in coordinating their body with the space around them!

😴 Monday Priming Challenge! 🧠

​Is your brain ready for the week, or is it still in weekend mode? 😴

​We call it Monday Priming:

A quick mental warm-up to turn off the sluggishness and switch on the focus!

🧠​Kids:Try a 5-minute I spy in the car to school, Down by the bay silly sings, Find the letter game, or some jumping jacks or car disco to get your brain ready for the classroom!

🧠​Parents: Spend 5 minutes organizing the backpack/lunchbox or prioritizing the top 3 tasks for the day. Explore activity that your kids love that can be done together activate the brain.

​This quick brain stretch sets the tone for an engaged, successful week!

💪🧠EF-Powered Study Habits🧠💪

💪 Plan Your Attack (Planning & Prioritizing): Don't just open your books. Before you start, spend 5 minutes identifying exactly what you will accomplish (e.g., "Outline Chapter 3," not "Study history"). Break large tasks into small, timed chunks.

🧠Ditch the Distraction (Inhibition): Your phone is the enemy of focus. Use the Inhibition skill to suppress the urge to check notifications. Use website blockers or the Pomodoro Technique (25 mins focus, 5 mins break) to manage distractions effectively.

💪Check Your Work (Self-Monitoring): After studying a section, don't just move on. Actively test yourself (flashcards, summarizing aloud) to check if the information actually stuck. This skill helps you course-correct before the exam.

🛑​Stop & Plan (Inhibition & Planning): Before rushing in, pause! Break the big challenge into 3-5 small, manageable steps.

​🎵Filter the Noise (Selective Attention): Focus only on the first step. Filter out worries about the last step.
​Self-Check (Self-Monitoring): After completing a step, check your work. Ask: "Is this working? What needs to change?"

💫​The path to success is rarely straight. When you feel overwhelmed, just return to Step 1: Pause and Plan.
