90 Years Young, and Still Making a Difference!
United HomeCare® proudly celebrated the extraordinary life and service of one of our most cherished employees —a shining example of purpose, kindness, and community. Today, we honored Maria Lilia, who turned 90 years young… and still showed up to work on time, radiant as ever!
She was warmly greeted by United HomeCare® President & CEO Carlos Martinez, who surprised her with flowers and a beautiful cake, a special treat presented by his wife Gretta, who joined the festivities to make this milestone extra special. In the meantime, Maria Lilia’s co-workers decorated her desk in pink quinceañera style.
“Maria Lilia is immensely valued by all of us at United HomeCare. Age does not hold her back. Her spirit of teamwork makes her a valuable member of our workforce,” shared Mr. Martinez. Maria Lilia, who started as a volunteer and later became an employee, values her independence and wants to continue working for as long as she can.
After blowing out her candles, Maria Lilia shared her secret to longevity and joy: “The secret to growing older in good health is to laugh and dance as often as possible, even when times are hard—stay happy.”
Happy 90th Birthday, Maria Lilia! You remind us all that purpose and positivity have no age limit.
