I still remember when I first was introduced to argan oil and how its hydrating and anti-aging benefits blew my mind. It seemed every beauty product contained it and while argan still rocks there is a new oil in town, . Marula oil contains 60 percent more antioxidants than so this makes it better at fighting wrinkles and sun damage. Marula oil is also more compartible with our skin's needs since it is very similar to the oils our body produces. This oil is skin friendly and helps our skin heal and retain moisture without clogging our pores (so it is great for acne sufferers) and without irritating our skin (excellent for those with sensitive skin). HENNA, NOT JUST A HAIR COLORANT BUT ALSO A TREATMENT TO PROMOTE STRONGER, HEALTHIER HAIR!
I think one of the best things I have done for may hair is treated with henna. I have been doing this for a couple of months and I have noticed my hair is stronger, healthier looking and longer. Although it is recommended to use an acidic medium, like lemon juice, for example, I have been using coconut milk and I have noticed the hair has a prettier finish and stays super soft and also makes the removing of the henna way easier. If any of you are interested in learning how to go about using henna for coloring please let me know and I will be more thorough. I; however, wanted to let those of you concern about the dangerous chemicals in hair dyes know that there is a safer option...granted it is limiting in color choices and it lasts approximately 3 weeks but it is worth it!

CLEANSE YOUR FACE WITH MICROFIBER CLOTHS AND SEE AND FEEL A DIFFERENCE!
Lately, the same gentle cloths that I use to clean around the house are being marketed by the beauty industry. They are also charging quite a lot for the same cloths you could purchase in the cleaning section of some grocery stores. So, I conducted some research to see if there is a big difference in function and I tried different types varying in prices, brands, etc... I learned the higher the polyester content the better (regardless of price, brand or even packaging), 100 % being the best, in my experience. These cloths' amazing capacity to practically remove most of your makeup with warm water ALONE has to do with its charge. This charge attracts dirt and oil like, well, a magnet. The fibers are very small, around 1/100 the size of the diameter of a human hair. After using the microfiber cloths, you will notice that your pores will appear smaller and the appearance of fine lines will diminish again do to its charge and also its gentle exfoliating action. There would also be a decrease in blackheads, acne and whiteheads. I found the 100% polyester microfiber cloths at Marshalls at an excellent price, I think $4.99 for 4. I believe that Target and maybe your grocery store has them. ke sure they are 100% polyester and follow manufacturers directions when it comes to the maintenance of cloths. They have to be handled differently than regular wash cloths.

EGG WHITES FIRMING MASK INSTANT FACE LIFT and Great for ALL SKIN TYPES but in particularly for those with large pores and sagging skin tone. You could use this 1 to 2 times a week or prior to a special date . Do not store, this is a one time application. All you need is 1 cold, organic small or medium egg and a teaspoon of cornstarch. Combine these two ingredients in a glass or bowl and whisk until you see it get foamy (no lumps please). Then using your fingers or a synthetic type brush, smooth this gel-like mask evenly onto face and throat. Then, Lie down before this dries since once it dries it will start to pull and smooth out your face and if you stay in an upward position the pulling (thanks to gravity) will be downward (you do not want that). So lie down for approximately 20 minutes until completely dry and then rinse. YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE THE RESULTS!!!

You have probably all heard about the wonderful benefits of the pomegranate fruit but you may not know that pomegranate is not only beneficial for the inside but also the outsideof our bodies. So I am going to share with you an awesome facial mask using your pomegranate seeds. You may use the seeds fresh and or dry them to then grind them into a fine powder ( I use a coffee grinder or a food processor to grind the seeds). You could also make a cheek or lip tint by mixing the juice of the pomegranate with coconut oil. Here is the facial scrub recipe:
2 tablespoons of coconut oil (conditions, moisturizes, softens, antibacterial, speeds up healing, antioxidant, prevents cellular aging, etc...)
2 tablespoons of packed brown sugar (helps to remove dead, dull skin cells)
1 tablespoon of pure honey (plumps up skin cells, fights acne do to its antimicrobial benefits, etc...)
1/2 tablespoon of fresh pomegranate seeds or 1 teaspoon of dried and finely ground pomegranate seeds
Mix everything together and make adjustments as you desire. If too wet for you add more sugar if too dry add more oil. You could also add a couple of drops of lavender or rose essential oil to this blend. So go eat a pomegranate and then pamper yourself with this awesome mask. :)

BASIC MILK BATH RECIPE
Your kitchen probably has many ingredients that can be incorporated into a beauty regimen. Now, you can, like Cleopatra, enjoy the benefits of a do it yourself, milk bath. A milk bath will leave your skin silky, soft and supple this is because milk contains: fat, protein and lactic acid. Lactic acid is a gentle exfoliant which will help remove dead, dull skin cells. A milk bath may also help soothe skin irritations like eczema, yet you need to check with a health care provider prior to attempting to treat any skin conditions. So here is the recipe, enjoy:
1 cup of powder whole milk (fat free powder milk if your skin is oily)
1.5 tablespoon of jojoba, olive oil, apricot kernel, sunflower or sweet almond oil.
12 drops of Roman chamomile, lavender, and or rosemary essential oil. (you may find these essential oils at a health food store if not check on Amazon.com
Add the powder milk and oil to running water while filling your tub. Then prior to getting in the water add the essential oil and move the water around with your foot and or hand. Submerse your entire body in this deliciousness and relax for 20 -30 minutes. Rinse well to better enhance the benefits of the milk bath.
