The 2025-2026 school year is among us! The DotHouse Teen Center will host our First Impressions: Back 2 School Fair tomorrow, Wednesday, September 3rd from 12:00pm to 5:00pm!

We will be joined by a special community guest host Java with Jimmy! Don't miss out on the great festivities.

We invite all patients and community members to DotHouse for a day of fun giveaways including school supplies, backpacks, gift cards, & more! We will also have Barbers, Hairdressers, Braiders, and Nail Technicians present. Plus many other activities!

We welcome all local youth (grades 1 through 12) in the Dorchester area to join us at DotHouse Health (inside Gymnasium) tomorrow, Wednesday 9/3 for our First Impressions: Back 2 School Fair.

This is the perfect opportunity to get excited and prepared for the new school year! Help us share the word! Translated fliers are attached.

As we head into a new season, it’s the perfect time to make sure your family is protected and up to date on all recommended vaccines—especially for children and adolescents. Staying on schedule with childhood vaccinations is one of the most important steps you can take to keep your child healthy and safe from preventable diseases.

Please know, that all vaccines we administer have undergone extensive scientific research, testing, and monitoring for safety and effectiveness. At DotHouse Health Center, we stand firmly behind the safety and importance of vaccines—they are one of the most powerful tools we have to protect your child’s health and the well-being of our entire community.

Here’s how we can help you stay on track:
• If your child is due for a routine visit, please call to schedule an appointment with their Primary Care Provider (P*P).
• If your child only needs a vaccine, you can schedule a visit with our Nurse of the Day by calling 617-288-3230.

Please note, information regarding the 2025-2026 Flu and Covid-19 vaccines will be communicated in the coming weeks via mychart and our website – www.dothouseahealth.org. At that time, we will also announce the dates and times of our walk-in vaccine clinics.

This week is (August 25th-31st).

During Overdose Awareness Week, we come together to remember the lives lost to overdose, support those still struggling, and take meaningful action toward change.

Additionally, August 31 marks International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD), a global, annual campaign to end overdose. We mourn with the families and friends who have lost loved ones to overdose, and we renew our commitment to preventing these tragic deaths.

Come check out the DotHouse Farmers' Market! The Farmers' Market is open 11:30am to 1:30pm every Tuesday (as supplies last) through October 14th. Make sure to come check us out! Our vendor this year is Exceptional Vegetables and Randolph Seafood Market.

The Farmers' Market is located in the outside space behind the WIC office.
