Yesterday was National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day — a day to raise awareness about the disproportionate impact of HIV on Hispanic/Latino communities and to help stop HIV stigma. 💪

Testing is the only way to know your HIV status, and at DotHouse, we’re here to support you every step of the way. We offer HIV education, testing, prevention (including PrEP and condoms), counseling, and treatment for all members of our community.

October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month—a time for us to come together, raise awareness, and honor the millions of lives touched by breast cancer. As we explored resources from the World Health Organization (WHO), one message stood out and beautifully captures this year’s global theme: “Every Story is Unique, Every Journey Matters.”

Each story of strength and resilience reminds us why our work matters so deeply—and why access to care and early screening are so vital.

Thank you to our incredible Radiology Team for leading this important effort and reminding us that awareness truly saves lives. We appreciate everyone who stopped by Radiology yesterday to support Pink Day!

DotHouse Health celebrates Indigenous Peoples’ Day today, Monday, October 13th.

One simple way in which we can honor the tremendous stewardship and resilience of Indigenous people is by learning about the Indigenous land that we are on. Tools such as the Native Land Digital (Native-Land.ca) allow us to input our modern-day address in order to find out what Indigenous land we are on, and which specific Indigenous communities inhabited the land. We encourage you to take a moment to check it out!

We acknowledge that the land on which DotHouse Health rests is the territory of the Massa-adchu-es-et and Pawtucket peoples who have stewarded this land throughout the generations. We thank them for their strength and resilience in protecting this land and aspire to uphold our responsibilities according to their example.

By doing this, our communities can learn more about the Indigenous tribes and nations, their languages, cultural and spiritual traditions, and much more.

We’re excited to share that DotHouse Health was one of twelve organizations awarded a $10,000 grant from UnitedHealthcare at the 2025 !

This generous support will directly go towards our Food Pantry and help expand access to healthy food for families in our community.

The event at Gillette Stadium was an inspiring afternoon of celebration, networking, and community connection. A special highlight — our President & CEO, Michelle Nadow, joined a panel on healthcare to spotlight DotHouse Health’s programs and impact.
