👋🏼 Meet Danae Reed Howell, Lead Stretch Specialist at Forge Bodyworks and Movement Lab!
Hi! I’m Danae Reed—a licensed paramedic, firefighter, LPTA and movement enthusiast with a background in kinesiology. I’ve always been passionate about helping people feel and move better, and that passion has guided my career.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and an Associate of Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant. I’m also a licensed paramedic, currently serving as a firefighter/paramedic for the City of Dothan. Before stepping into emergency services, I spent five years working in outpatient physical therapy, where I specialized in post-surgical and sport rehabilitation, exercise science, and myofascial release.
Before my professional career, I played Division II softball as a four-year starter. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for athletic performance, injury prevention, and the journey back to sport after setbacks.
My goal is simple: to help people move better, feel stronger, and live more fully. Whether you’re recovering from an injury or just looking to improve your mobility and overall health, I’m here to help bridge the gap between physical therapy and everyday life—or a return to sport. I truly believe that movement is medicine and that mobility work has a place in everyone’s routine.
Outside of work, you can usually find me lifting, cycling, running, swimming, or getting lost in a good book. I’m also lucky to share life with my husband, Jeb and our two dogs.
Let’s work together to help you reach your goals and get back to doing what you love.
