In celebration of Speech Therapy Month in May, Southeast Alabama Homecare acknowledges the expertise of Kathryn, who provides indispensable speech therapy services to patients at our Dothan and Eufaula locations.
She shared a little about Speech Therapy and her love for it below..

I have been a Speech Language Pathologist since graduating from Auburn University with my masters in 2009. Speech therapy is more than speech. It also includes voice, language, cognition, and swallowing. I enjoy hone health as there is something incredibly rewarding about improving a patients quality of life in an environment where they are most comfortable- their home. I love seeing patients progress and meet goals and regain their independence. My favorite part of my career is when a patient is able to eat by mouth and get their feeding tube out after working hard in swallowing therapy. -Kathryn, ST

Our Nurses Week Spotlight for today shines on visit RN, Victoria!

I have been a Nurse since 2009. I love Home Health as it gives me the ability to meet patients where they are at. Not just physically but emotionally and realistically. Change starts at home, long before they see a hospital bed. Having the time to educate and care for patients in their own environment is so rewarding and they truly appreciate it!
