Position available for experienced surgical assistant. Responsibilities include:

-Assisting the oral surgeon during surgical procedures, including extractions, implant placements, and bone grafting.
-Preparing and maintaining surgical instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms.
-Taking and processing radiographs, including panoramic and cephalometric X-rays.
-Ensuring proper sterilization and disinfection of surgical instruments according to established infection control protocols.
-Welcoming patients, obtaining their medical history, and addressing any concerns.
-Providing chairside assistance and ensuring patient comfort during surgical procedures.
-Assisting with post-operative patient care instructions and follow-up appointments.
-Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment charts and consent forms.
-Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow and optimal patient care.
-Adhering to strict safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized surgical environment.

Southeastern Oral-Maxillofacial is looking for a full time clinical assistant. This person will be a part of our fast-paced, high energy clinical team and will be responsible for many tasks; escorting patients to rooms, turning over rooms between patients, completing forms/verifying information, clinical intake, instrument sterilizing and organization, and taking phone calls just to name a few. This position could eventually evolve into a surgical assistant position.
