Writing your life story in the present tense results from understanding today is the only time we can take any real action and impact the world. Some think of life evolving as a result of deterministic forces within us. Others call it growing, yet they have myopic views of growth, measured by a transactional approach to situational conformation. However, transformation is an experience of awareness and clarity at the present moment, resulting in movement. Yet many people spend far too much time and energy living anywhere but now.
Some people spend their time worrying about what-ifs in the future, or they waste valuable time today feeling regret or anger over something in the past.
Readiness to be present requires willingness and ability to be fully present. It is the substance of the "ah-ha" moment, turning on the light and creating the awareness for change. Think about this, "On a ten-point scale, if I am at level two in any field and desire to move to level five, I must first take a step toward level three. "A thousand-mile journey begins with the first step." Many people do not transition into greater levels of freedom because they need the readiness, willingness, and ability to fully take the first step into the present.
