✨ Celebrating 75 Years of Flowers Hospital ✨
Dr. Paul Flowers first opened Flowers Hospital on December 7, 1950 inside the former Blumberg Home in Dothan, with just 12 patient beds. The “emergency room” was his office, meals were cooked in the old kitchen, and every patient, nurse, and doctor knew one another by name. It was small—but it was personal, meaningful, and full of heart.
Seventy-five years later, our hospital looks very different, but the spirit remains the same. Since our beginning, Flowers Hospital has helped change the landscape of healthcare in the Wiregrass and has become a cornerstone of our community. Our story is one of growth, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to the people we serve.
As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, we honor our history and the individuals who built this foundation. We also celebrate the many employees and physicians who keep Dr. Flowers’ vision alive today. We are deeply grateful for our incredible team of caregivers, medical staff, and support personnel who continue his legacy with compassion, skill, and heart.
Here’s to honoring our past and shaping the future of healthcare in the Wiregrass.
Happy 75th Anniversary, Flowers Hospital! 🎉❤️
