Beginning January 1, 2025 I will join Southeast Health at Westgate Clinic. Existing patients have received notice in the mail and I am pleased to welcome them at my new office. Please complete the records release form and return to Fairview Clinic.

This new opportunity allows me to better serve my patients in the clinic setting. It would be by privilege to remain your primary care provider. I will continue to manage chronic conditions and treat acute illness. With this change, I will be able to see children age 6 and older. I will work in the clinic and no longer round or see patients in the hospital setting.

New location: 1245 Westgate Parkway, Dothan, AL 36303. From 231 headed north you will turn left onto Westgate Parkway and the clinic will be .3 miles on your right.

Will you be around little ones during the holiday? Please read: Last December 3-month-old Ava spent nearly a week in the PICU as her lungs fought to overcome RSV (that’s respiratory syncytial virus). In adults and older kids with strong immune systems, the virus often causes little more than a cold. For babies, it can be life-threatening.

When parents ask you to wash your hands or avoid kissing a baby this time of year, please listen. Viruses like flu, RSV and rhinovirus are in full swing, and one well-intentioned kiss or hand squeeze could have serious consequences. Ava’s family is grateful to be spending this Christmas at home, and they hope her story will provide a strong reminder of the importance of hand hygiene in protecting those around you.

It’s U.S. Antibiotic Awareness Week! Antibiotics save lives and are critical tools for treating infections, like those that can lead to sepsis. When antibiotics aren’t needed – like for a cold – they won’t help you, and their side effects could cause harm. Serious side effects can include C. difficile infection, which can cause deadly diarrhea. Talk to your doctor about the best way to treat your illness. http://bit.ly/2AEuUHV
