Our Story
As part of Southeast Health’s humanitarian role, annual operating expenses are underwritten by Southeast Health so that 100 percent of gifts received will benefit the healthcare service or community wellness initiative specified. In addition to individual and corporate gifts, the Foundation also conducts several special events annually. Net proceeds from these activities are directed as indicated in specific event literature.
The Southeast Health Foundation is a nonprofit, public charity. As such, the Foundation operates within the rules and regulations established by the United States government, specifically abiding the laws that allow for the operation of public charities. The Foundation must provide proof that funds contributed are used for the purposes for which they were intended. In addition to filing documents with the Internal Revenue Service as required, donors and the public receive regular updates regarding the status of the projects and how their donations are being used.
