As we commemorate Nurses Week, we take great pride in acknowledging the outstanding contributions of our nursing staff at Extendicare. Pennie Harrison stands out as an exemplary model of excellence, having earned the distinction of 2025 Nurse of the Year as voted by her peers. With a remarkable career spanning over 20 years, Pennie has adeptly assumed various responsibilities, including charge nurse and treatment nurse. Her selfless devotion has profoundly impacted our residents, and we are deeply grateful for her unwavering commitment.

Thank you to Headland Christian Preschool for coming to Extendicare today to help our residents celebrate Easter . The residents loved seeing the excitment in their little faces as they hunted for eggs ! EVERYONE was super excited to see the Easter Bunny. Big thank you to Jim Dennis for braving the heat in that bunny costume. We would also like to thank Kim Pritchett and LaShonda Curry for their help as well! We are so blessed to have such a supportive community ❤️

We kicked off Fat Tuesday this morning with a Mardi Gras themed breakfast complete with green , yellow and purple pancakes 🥞. We also crowned the King and Queen of Mardi Gras and they will lead our parade later this afternoon !
