Today we were presented with a donation in the amount of $16,000.00 from our friends at Kaw Valley Kickball League.

I am blown away, absolutely speechless. We can't thank you enough, not only for your donation, but the support you show our amazing athletes.

Congratulations, Officer Browning!!

Our team and community are lucky to have you!

Worldwide, the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics raised nearly $67 Million this year to benefit athletes.
LKPD’s Officer James Browning (on the right) just returned from its annual conference in Texas after being inducted into the Founder’s Hall of Fame, along with Officer Larabe Alexander from the Ottawa Police Department.
That’s former Wichita Chief Richard LaMunyon in the middle, who started the run back in 1981, which now spans about 40 countries.
Amazing commitment gentlemen! 👏 👏

'Tis the season to be giving 😃

My name is Jacqui Folks, and I am currently the Local Program Coordinator for the Douglas County Special Olympics team. Go, Jayhawks!!

I am often approached with this question, "I would like to help, but I don't have the time to coach. What can I do?"

At the end of each year we hold a banquet for our athletes to celebrate their individual and team achievements. Each athlete is presented with a certificate and gift card as they are recognized.

As we are 100% driven by donations, this is an easy way for the community to help us celebrate our AMAZING athletes. It is also my favorite ask of the year as these gift cards go directly to our athletes. Such a small gift that makes a huge impact!

Well, the weather was not kind to us tonight for co****le practice 🤣
