In January 2024, Adam underwent weight loss surgery, and he didn’t slow down. Since surgery, he has lost an additional 115 pounds, bringing his total weight loss to nearly 280 pounds since the start of his journey. 🎉

Important Update for Patients Covered Under Georgia's State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP)

We want our medical weight loss patients to be aware of a new requirement related to prescription coverage for certain weight-loss medications under the State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP).

➡️ SHBP has implemented a new requirement for coverage of Wegovy, Zepbound, and oral Wegovy.

Meet Makayla, who is absolutely thriving after undergoing laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy on January 8, 2025 at The Bariatric & Metabolic Center. Her post-operative course was smooth, and her results have been nothing short of amazing! 💙
Makayla began her journey with an initial BMI of 53.7 and is now at 31.6, having lost a total of 108 pounds.
