We’re proud to have Joe Jaworowski on our nutrition team at Satilla Elementary School!
Today we recognize him for his 23 years of service as a U.S. Navy Seabee (1979 - 2002). His dedication, hard work, and commitment to building and defending reflect the true spirit of service.

🍽️ Our featured tray today is from Satilla Elementary School, and includes southern oven fried chicken, honey roll, mashed potatoes, seasoned turnip by greens, strawberry dipped apple wedges, and choice of milk. A delicious lunch to fuel our students!

🌱 Our program was awarded the Georgia Farm to School Award last week. We’re proud to be the recipient of this award, and to be able to offer local foods for our students! 🍎🍊🍠🫐🍓

The award criteria includes: incorporating locally grown foods in school meals, promoting locally-grown foods in the school environment, promoting school gardens and using produce grown in school gardens, and adopting farm to school language in school policies and procedures.

🎃Our teams really got into the Halloween spirit today!🎃 Here are a few snapshots, courtesy of Coffee High School, Douglas, GA, Ambrose Elementary School, George Washington Carver Freshman Campus, Coffee Middle School, and Nicholls Elementary School. 🧡

The lunch tray today is from CHS, and features our buffalo wings, baked beans, wheat roll, pumpkin patch pretzel, festive Italian ice, and choice of milk. 🍽

We're nearing the end of and wanted to highlight our delicious Oven Fried Chicken, produced here in GA! This particular tray was featured on October 8, and sent in by our nutrition team at Eastside Elementary. Accompanied by seasoned lima beans, a buttery garlic knot, a crunchy fresh vegetable trio, a deliciously sweet orange, and cool milk, this lunch is just right for fueling our students for success!
