Our nutrition team scored big with today’s winning lunch lineup: homemade lasagna, crisp garden salad, a buttery garlic knot, fresh apple, fruit juice, and lowfat milk. 🥗🍎

Yesterday was not just an ordinary Monday - it was the first day of school and !🍪
To celebrate, students were welcomed back with this freshly-baked treat during lunch - a sweet start to what we hope will be a fantastic year for all!

Our managers welcomed students at Open House events last week, and they have been busy readying their serving lines, ordering groceries, evaluating inventory, and finalizing menus. The first day of school means preparing meals for all of our students, even some who are entering a cafeteria for the first time. Here’s to a great first day for all! 🍽️

Congratulations to Javontae "JJ" Johnson, who was named the 2025-2026 Classified Employee of the year for the Coffee County School System at today's opening convocation. Javontae works at Coffee High School's Trojan Café, and has received numerous awards in recent months. He was named Employee of the Year for the Georgia School Nutrition Association, the School Nutrition Association Southeast Region, and the National School Nutrition Association.

Part of our summer preparations each year includes training our staff. Last week we were delighted to host our 8th District Georgia School Nutrition Association Professional Enrichment Program (PEP). This year's training brought 600 school nutrition professionals from 13 counties, 22 vendors, multiple manufacturing partners and even Georgia School Nutrition Program Chef John Huff. Many thanks to all of our presenters who took the time to prepare and train our attendees, and to our partners who donated items for this event: Gold Creek Foods, Williams Institutional Foods, PepsiCo, Super Bakery, and .
