American Vascular Associates, along with partners across the country, is celebrating an important step forward for patients who rely on office-based vascular care.

A recent nationwide announcement highlights support from CMS, MedPAC, and Dr. Oz for high-quality, lower-cost treatment options provided in office-based labs like ours. This helps protect patient access, strengthens independent physician practices, and ensures that the vascular care you trust stays close to home.

We’re proud to be part of a network that continues to fight for safer, more affordable care for the communities we serve.

📣 Don’t be shy—your doctor can’t treat what they don’t know.
If you’ve been living with leg pain, numbness, slow-healing sores, or skin changes, don’t brush them off. These may be signs of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD).
💬 Open communication with your healthcare provider is key:
✔️ Describe when symptoms occur (walking, at rest, at night)
✔️ Mention how long you’ve had them
✔️ Share any family history of PAD, heart disease, or stroke
✔️ Tell them about lifestyle factors like smoking, exercise, or diet
🛑 PAD is treatable—especially when caught early. Speaking up today could help you avoid bigger health problems tomorrow.

Don’t wait—our team is here to listen, diagnose, and help you get back to living without limits.

💡 Know your Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI)?
It’s one of the easiest—and most important—tests for detecting Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD).
🩺 The ABI compares the blood pressure in your ankle to the blood pressure in your arm. A lower pressure in the ankle can signal narrowed or blocked arteries in your legs.
✨ The test is:
✔️ Simple – takes only a few minutes
✔️ Painless – completely non-invasive
✔️ Accurate – helps detect PAD before it becomes severe
🛑 Early detection means early action, which can prevent serious complications like non-healing wounds or limb loss.

We’re offering screenings all month—book yours today and take the first step toward healthier legs.

📋 Bring this list to your next appointment:
✔️ Leg pain when walking – especially if it goes away with rest
✔️ Sores that won’t heal – particularly on feet or toes
✔️ Numb toes or feet – or a tingling, pins-and-needles sensation
💡 These are common warning signs of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), a condition caused by narrowed arteries that reduce blood flow to your legs.
The earlier PAD is detected, the easier it is to treat—often with quick, minimally invasive procedures in an outpatient setting.
🛑 Don’t wait until symptoms get worse—address them now for better long-term circulation and mobility.

🧼 Cuts, sores, or ulcers on your feet or toes that don’t heal within 2–4 weeks?
🩹 That’s not normal—it could be Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD).
⏳ Non-healing wounds mean your blood flow may not be delivering enough oxygen and nutrients for your skin to repair itself.
⚠️ Left untreated, these wounds can lead to infection and serious complications.

We specialize in early diagnosis and minimally invasive treatments—call 912-384-0322 to schedule your vascular screening today.
