We had the opportunity for Archie Rish, from Chick-fil-A Douglas, be our guest speaker for our Associate In-Service, as he emphasized that exceptional customer service is intentional and people-focused. Chick-fil-A’s success comes from treating customers as guests, not transactions. Key points included the importance of a positive attitude, making eye contact, using respectful language, and creating genuine connections with every customer. The speaker highlighted that small actions—such as saying “my pleasure,” anticipating customer needs, and resolving issues quickly—can leave a lasting impression.
Another major theme was consistency. Delivering great service every day, even during busy or stressful times, builds trust and loyalty. Archie also stressed empowering employees to take ownership of the customer experience and to serve with empathy and kindness.
