“There’s a lot going on.”
I’ve been hearing that phrase a lot lately.
And most of the time, it’s not small talk.
It can mean:
I’m overwhelmed.
I’m carrying more than I’ve said out loud.
I’m tired, but I’m still functioning.
I don’t even know where to start explaining it.
High-functioning people are especially good at holding it together on the outside while managing a quiet storm on the inside.
When there’s a lot going on, certain things quietly disappear:
Rest.
Boundaries.
Reflection.
Honest conversations.
We go into “just get through it” mode.
But here’s your reminder today:
Overwhelm is information — not failure.
You don’t have to fix everything this week.
Pause and ask yourself:
What’s actually within my control?
What can wait?
Do I need more support, space, or grace?
If this resonates, drop a 💛 below or comment “a lot.”
Sometimes naming it is the first reset.
