Behind every visit, conversation, and moment of comfort is a volunteer who makes it possible. This week, we’re honored to shine our Volunteer Spotlight on Sherry Corbin, whose time and compassion help bring Pine Tree Hospice’s mission to life. Sherry has donated more than 3,000 hours of her time to this organization!

Sherry is a retired nursing professor who has volunteered with Pine Tree Hospice since 2003. Much of her service has centered on education, committee leadership, and providing steady bedside companionship to clients and families.

If you value learning and offering a compassionate presence, sign up to volunteer with Pine Tree Hospice.

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room. (We’ll bring the coffee and cake.)

Death Café is a monthly gathering hosted by Pine Tree Hospice where people come together to talk openly about death—no agenda, no grief support, just conversation. Join us for the next Death Café: 1-3 pm, Sunday, February 8th at Guilford Memorial Library.

It's a new week, so it's time for another volunteer spotlight! Each week we are posting about one of the amazing volunteers that make our work at Pine Tree Hospice possible. Today we celebrate April Dauphinee!

April is a retired Duvaltex accounts receivable professional from Guilford who turned to Pine Tree Hospice in 2017 after the death of her husband. She has spent years building joyful, one-on-one relationships with clients, especially those with memory issues.

April reminds us that hospice volunteering can begin right where life leaves us—seeking connection and purpose. If you’re wondering what comes next for you, consider signing up to volunteer with Pine Tree Hospice and see where it leads!
