80 Years Later, Their Courage Echoes Through History

Today, on the 80th anniversary of D-Day, we remember the extraordinary bravery and sacrifice of those who stormed the beaches of Normandy. Their valor turned the tide of World War II and secured a future of freedom for generations to come.

About Us

Emig Funeral Home has been established in the Dover area since 1928. It was founded by George H. Emig. His son, Scott B. Emig took over the business in 1969. After serving the Dover community for many years, Scott retired in 1992 and sold the business to Daniel W. Cupp, Jr., who was originally from the Montoursville area. Daniel carried the tradition of handling all of the arrangements and funeral services himself with the help of his daughter, Heather L. (Cupp) Spangler, who became a licensed funeral director in 2004. His wife, Catherine, and youngest daughter, Alyssa M. (Cupp) Lamparter, also assist in the daily operations of the funeral home along with the help of the part-time staff. Since Daniel's unexpected death on November 2, 2019, his wife and daughters continue to operate the funeral home and strive to carry on his legacy.
