I’m really working on self love this month. I was teased relentlessly for being overweight in the fifth grade. While that deeply painful experience has helped shaped who I am as a loving, gentle and compassionate person, it also has left a few scars. I intend to soften those scars by choosing to love my body (each and every inch) for the beautiful and amazing vessel it is.
I love my legs, they help me walk quiet country roads and soak up the healing energy of Mother Nature. I love my arms, they help me hug my friends and loved ones. I love my stomach, it grew to the perfect size to hold my baby daughter in its womb. I love my hips, they way they sway and move to the music helps me feel joy. I love my ears, my fingers, my knees, my wrinkles, my belly button, my hair. I love all the cells in my body. I love my body. It’s the only one I have and it is here on this earth for a reason just the way it is today. I’m choosing to love it all - everyday.
