Today during my sons nap I went out into my garden to say hello to my plant kin and see how their winter slumbers had treated them. I fed the birds and squirrels and stood barefoot in the cold grass dreaming up what work I'd like to get up to outside this spring.
While I was sitting in contemplation I decided to pull a few cards from my Tarot cards I have kept on my porch as a guardian for my space. I noticed how the sun changed them and their colors were so different and striking. They invoked deep feeling and inspiration in me. Evoking desire for change. So I sat with them on the patio. I heard their message and have chosen to share it here just incase it helps you.

Death is but the tender to life's garden. Without the clearing we would have no harvest. Without the harvest there is no sustenance. One feeds the other in a dance of balance. Decay, rebirth.

You must remove your masks and stand beyond the veil of illusion and idealism. The simple act of being yourself regardless of what is seen as normal & accepted & objectively cool is an act of rebellion & resistance. Your courage and authenticity will inspire others to be themselves and to foster connection and community. So show up raw and real. Don't fake it for nobody.

S**ts gotta end. S**ts gotta fall apart. And s**t shouldn't be rebuilt. S**t should be buried, healed & released. S**t should be fertilizer for whats next. That s**t will only make you repeate old cycles. Lay new foundation. Make a new path. Heal the land. Heal your heart. Create not in a mindset of control or superiority. Root. Reflect. Organize. Digest.

They say the veil between seasons thins around February 17th, that peculiar hinge in the month when winter’s patience wears thin and spring still refuses to put on her shoes. In the Hidden World Between the Trees, it is known as The Day of Restless Waiting.

On that day, a young girl named Eira felt the weight of the stillness pressing on her bones. The world was gray, the ponds untrustworthy, the light neither long nor short. Everything held its breath.

Eira, tired of waiting for color to return, crept into the Weaver’s Hut—the place where every sunrise, moon phase, and seasonal turning was spun into delicate strands. She found a single shimmering thread labeled Tomorrow and, thinking it harmless, tucked it into her pocket. Just a peek ahead, she told herself.

But the forest knew immediately.

Snowflakes began to fall upward, rising like startled birds. Shadows slipped from the feet of trees and wandered off in search of their owners. The wind lost its rhythm. Even the old stones hummed with unease.

Eira stumbled through the disarray, thread glowing hot against her chest. She finally found the Weaver—ancient, patient, draped in the colors of every hour that ever existed.

“You cannot skip the in-between,” the Weaver said gently. “Even the forest needs the quiet days, the almost-days, the days that seem to go nowhere. Without them, nothing can arrive fully.”

Eira returned the thread. And the world exhaled—snow settling, shadows curling back, wind finding its feet again. The forest softened, not into spring yet, but into readiness.

Since then, February 17th is remembered as the day the future tugged too hard—and the forest reminded us that even longing must root itself in the present.

I feel it is my responsibility to make myself extremely transparent here, on my business page as well as anywhere I exist in life/online, I do not, have never and will never support maga, its leaders, followers nor the ice agents currently commiting heinous fascist and vile acts in this country. I have love for my family who may disagree with me but I am not tolerating debates and discussions on it because I will not be swayed in my view and I truly worry for your own humanity and mental well being. If you support this current regime you have been brainwashed and i urge you to start paying attention. Look at what happened in germany during the holocost. You have to be not paying attention or successfully brainwashed if you believe maga is right.

This is not a matter of difference of opinions. This is a matter of humanity. I will NOT be open for debating this with anyone. If you disagree with me go ahead and keep your mouth shut about it to me, disrespectfully. If you cannot handle doing that, unfollow/block me. 💅

Growing up I was told this was the land of the free. Home of the brave. It was a melting pot of cultures and that is what made America great.

This country breaks my fu***ng heart. It breaks my heart.

As an adult I see it is the land of the oppressed by the rich, controlled and brainwashed. It is unsafe to be BIPOC & LGBTQA+ and it is where white supremisists want to go back to a time where men thrive, women are silent and people of color do not exist. It is utterly deplorable and I am ashamed of this country in its current state.

I pray for a better future for the next generation. But I'm not just going to pray. Im going to talk about it. I'm going to stay vigilant and aware.

This is a safe space for the vulnerable, not the hateful.

Long before colonization, these lands were cared for, tended, and honored by Indigenous peoples—the original stewards. Recognizing their presence, knowledge, and resilience is one of the most important rituals we can observe during this holiday.

What is a land acknowledgement?
A land acknowledgement is a statement that recognizes the Indigenous peoples who have historically cared for the land where we live and gather. It honors their enduring relationship to the land and their ongoing presence in our communities. This practice encourages humility, respect, and awareness, connecting gratitude not only to what we receive, but also to responsibility and care for the world around us.

How to practice it:
Tonight, take a moment to research the Indigenous peoples whose lands you live on. A helpful tool is https://native-land.ca, which identifies territories, treaties, and languages of the original stewards.

You might then offer a statement aloud at your table, or hold it in quiet reflection. For example: “We acknowledge that we are gathering on the traditional territory of the [name of the Indigenous nation(s)], and honor their enduring relationship with this land. We give thanks for the care they have shown for this place and commit to approaching our time here with respect and presence.”

Observing this ritual is not only an act of respect—it centers Thanksgiving in truth, awareness, and gratitude that extends beyond ourselves. It grounds the holiday in justice, presence, and connection to the land and its original stewards.
