🫶🏽 Today’s spotlight shines brightly on a woman who has filled countless hearts with love, laughter, and a sense of belonging — Rosemary “Joyce” Thibodeaux.
🏡 Growing up in Louisiana, Joyce wasn’t just a neighbor — she was family. Living right across the street, she quickly became like my second mom. She looked out for us, loved on us, and had that rare ability to make you feel safe, seen, and cared for just by being near her. Though she’s technically married to my dad’s cousin, those titles never really captured what she means to me. In my heart, Joyce has always been — and always will be — more than family by marriage. She’s family by love, by heart, and by the way she shows up for people. 💛
👩🏽🍳Joyce has one of the most beautiful spirits you’ll ever encounter. She’s the kind of woman who gives endlessly, always putting the needs and wants of others before her own. Whether it’s whipping up the most amazing southern meals (because nobody cooks like Joyce!) or taking care of others through her chosen profession working with children, she pours her heart into everything she does. Her entire life has been an act of service — to her family, her community, and to everyone lucky enough to know her.
🤩 And that smile — it’s pure sunshine. The kind of smile that can lift your mood even on the hardest days. The kind that says, “You’re loved, you’re safe, and you’re welcome here.” Her joy is contagious, her kindness unwavering, and her love unconditional.
Joyce, you are the definition of grace in action — a true Wonder Woman whose strength lies not just in what you do, but in how you love. Thank you for being a light, a nurturer, and a quiet force of goodness in so many lives, mine included.
