✨Supporting someone isn’t about finding one perfect strategy — it’s about building the skill of noticing, adjusting, and responding. Nervous systems change throughout the day, which means the support someone needs can shift from moment to moment too. This is why flexibility is one of the most powerful tools both parents and therapists can develop.

✨When something stops working, it isn’t a failure — it’s feedback. It’s an opportunity to pause, observe, and ask what the person’s body needs right now: movement, connection, calm, space, help, or regulation. Over time, these moments help us notice patterns, respond with more awareness, and support others in understanding and expressing their own needs.

✨If you’re a parent or therapist and today felt hard — you’re not behind. You’re learning a nervous system. And that takes patience, curiosity, and compassion 💛

✨What inspired you to become an RBT?
My journey toward becoming an RBT began not in a classroom or clinic, but at home—when my child was diagnosed with autism. Like many parents in my situation, I was overwhelmed, full of questions. I realized that by becoming a RBT, I could gain the tools not only to support my own child more effectively, but also to help other children and families facing similar challenges. I was inspired by the idea that my personal experience—one filled with both trials and small triumphs—could become a foundation for professional work grounded in empathy, understanding, and real-life knowledge. I decided to turn my personal experience into purpose.

✨What do you enjoy most about working with kids/families?
What I enjoy most is the process of building trusting relationships with both the children and their families. I love seeing the kids grow and flourish as they master new skills through play and fun activities. It’s incredibly rewarding to work as part of a collaborative team with parents, celebrating every milestone together.

✨ What’s one thing you’ve learned since becoming an RBT?
The power of consistency and patience. Working one-on-one with clients teaches that progress can be slow, and every small step is meaningful. I’ve learned that consistent application of behavior strategies, data collection, and reinforcement truly matters over time. Even small improvements are huge wins.

✨ Coffee or tea person
Im definitely a coffee person hands down “Dunkin Girl”

✨ Favorite animal?
My favorite animal is the giraffe. I loved how it adapted to its environment to survive.

✨ New Year’s Eve Reminder for Parents ✨

Take a deep breath. You do not need to do it all.
You don’t need to say yes to every gathering.
You don’t need a perfect plan.

If staying home feels better, that’s enough.
If leaving early is best for your child, that’s success.
If routines matter more than midnight — honor that.

Prep what you can, keep expectations low, and give yourself grace.
Your child doesn’t need a big celebration — they need you feeling calm and supported.

You’ve got this. 💛

✨What inspired me to become an RBT:
I’ve always loved helping kids and wanted to do something that really makes a difference. When I learned about ABA and how it can help kids communicate and build independence, I knew it was something I wanted to be part of.

✨What’s the most rewarding part of my job:
The most rewarding part is watching clients make progress, no matter how small. Those “lightbulb” moments when a child learns a new skill —knowing that I played a small part in helping them connect with the world makes every session worth it.

✨My go-to comfort TV show or movie:
Definitely Law and Order: SVU. I can rewatch it a hundred times and still be entertained.

✨Three words my friends would use to describe me:
Hardworking, optimistic, dependable.
