Sometimes the physical practice doesn’t look like a quiet room, a perfectly cued sequence, or even a regulated nervous system.
Sometimes it looks like this.
Little hands next to mine. Interrupted breaths. Movement that’s messy, real, but shared.
Reminder: Trauma-informed care isn’t about getting it “right.” It’s about creating enough safety to stay present with what is, even when it’s chaotic or imperfect (saying this to my Virgo self too y’all)!
For me, that means letting my body soften into the moment… and letting her witness that.
Regulation doesn’t have to happen alone.
And, real healing happens in our real lives.
Sometimes it begins right here.
On the floor, together. 🤍
