Ever wonder why coaches are always reminding you to โ€œbrace your coreโ€?
This simple visual says it all.

In this video, Coach Matt shows three cans..each representing a different kind of lifter:

๐Ÿฅซ Full Can: Braced and strong. The system is closed, stable, and able to handle heavy load without collapsing.

๐Ÿฅซ Empty Can: Not braced. The structure looks okay at first, but without internal pressure, it canโ€™t handle much before giving in.

๐Ÿฅซ Dented Can: Poor bracing and poor positioning. The structure is already compromised, so even small loads cause it to fail.

Your body works the same way. A strong brace (pressurizing your core before you move) creates a solid foundation that protects your spine and lets you lift safely and efficiently.

At the end, Coach Matt walks you through exactly how to brace properly so you can move better, lift more, and stay injury-free.

"My overall fitness has drastically improved. When I started, I was limited to bench, squat, and deadlift. Over the past two years, I've developed a much more well-rounded fitness level. Calling all young athletes in the Dover, NH area! Are you ready to unlock your full potential and develop a strong, resilient body? Claflin Youth Strength, led by experienced Coach Sara, offers a dynamic and supportive program designed specifically for boys and girls ages 12-18.

What to Expect:
Our program is more than just lifting weights; it's about building foundational strength, improving athletic performance, and fostering a lifelong love for fitness. Teens will be introduced to and work extensively on all essential barbell movements, including:

Squats: Develop powerful legs and core strength.
Bench Press: Enhance upper body strength and stability.
Deadlifts: Master full-body strength and proper lifting mechanics.
Cleans and Snatches: Learn explosive, dynamic movements that translate to various sports.

Beyond these core lifts, Coach Sara will guide participants through exercises and drills designed to improve:
Strength: Build functional and absolute strength for everyday activities and sports.
Flexibility: Increase range of motion and reduce the risk of injury.
Agility: Improve quickness, coordination, and the ability to change direction.
Endurance: Enhance cardiovascular fitness and stamina.

Who Can Join?
All levels are welcome! No prior experience with barbell movements or CrossFit is necessary. Coach Sara provides individualized attention and modifications to ensure every participant feels challenged and supported.

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Cost: $95 bi-weekly (ongoing)
